In rivalry of @ImNotBritish107’s Winterfest Idea I’m making my own (and it’s better because it’s made by me)

The breeze it cold and there’s a jolly cheer going around, that must mean one thing, Winterfest is here!

Missing Gifts :wrapped_gift:

A huge hole has opened up right it the center of Santa’s workshop, and it has swallowed a big stash of gifts. Without these, winterfest is RUINED!

But heading straight into the chasm would be reckless as you would instantly freeze. Talk to Tim the Tailor to get started, and who knows what awaits you at the bottom of the pit.

The scheme of Grumpus :cold_face:

A terrible cold has emerged, something lacking any holiday joy or cheer. Grumpus’s new plan to foil this time of year has stormed into Hive.

By completing the quests contained in the ticket you can put an end to Grumpus’s mad plan.

Starting December 14th a new gift we be available each day under the tree behind spawn. But don’t wait, once available you only have 24 hours to collect each gift before they are gone forever.

Compete against 7 other players in our brand new LTM: Santa’s festive games! It’s a competition in the workshop to see who is the best elf.

Build, check, wrap, sort, and deliver gifts to score points in 4 micro-games before topping it off with a boss game! The player with the most points wins.

Level up to earn exclusive cosmetics.

This is awesome, I love it, voted! Could we have… both ideas? I mean… there’s never too much Christmas, right? I’m a little obsessed with Christmas :>

I feel like the first idea is a bit too similar to 2021, because I assume the Tim quest line would be similar to the original where he does everything but make an ice suit. I think maybe it should be about someone else like Mrs Claus or Santa, considering it is his workshop that was affected.

For the ticket idea, I like the idea of having a hub quest exclusive to the ticket, like the backrooms quest with the anomaly one, but I think theming the ticket off the grumpus is kinda of limiting for the artists. I do like the idea of stopping the grumpus though, the grumpus doesn’t get enough attention for a recurring character in winterfest.

As for the Santa games thing, I think that’s actually a pretty good way to reuse the 2022 stuff, and is actually a good way to implement a party games style minigame. I think it could be called something else though.

I may make a few concepts, but no promises :eyes:

It would be very similar to that. I get that might be too similar but NGL I’d take it over the classic hunts we’ve gotten for a while now. I also did miss the 2021 hunt so my bias may be getting in the way.

I was thinking maybe some cosmetics you get would be stuff the Grumpus stole. So like a sleigh mount, toys, ex…

I’m sorry, some people just can’t handle the truth. :grin:

Ah, I got the idea that the ticket was just about the grumpus. The idea that there would be stolen presents makes it a lot more interesting.

Bump, this winterfest was just a reused version of last year’s. Imo that’s really lazy and disappointing. Plus there in the same spots. No ltm, barely a new hunt, this was terrible.

Winterfest needs to be the big event, not a side thought.

And yes, I’m dissatisfied and disappointed with the Hive.

And seriously, they’re in the same places? Even worse.

And I pray that nobody spends their money on the All Access Pass.

Oh, is it? I missed Winterfest last year so everything is new to me lol. Those puzzles are mind boggling too :<. I’d really like to see some of the forum ideas as next year’s Winterfest.
