The Sword of embers needs fixing

the sword of embers is honestly trash

what if we bring up the chances of it setting someone on fire

I will sometimes play Skywars and have the sword of embers then when I eventually use it it takes like 20 tries. Now don’t get me wrong sometimes it works first try but still.

There’s a reason for why it’s like that. Apparently the sword used to have a 100 percent chance of setting someone on fire. People didn’t like this, and even youtubers had things to say, so they changed it.

oh ok that makes sense

i still agree. maybe a 50% chance instead of 20. also vote for your own suggestion

I think a 1/4 hits or 1/5 hits would be good.

thats worse than it already is

It really isn’t, its like a 1/10 chance right now.

It’s a 1/4. I’m sorry, but who told you it was 1/10!?

Its only 1/4? Those chances gotta be off because sometimes you can go like 7 hits without them catching fire.

Its called RNG!
You could get a fire every hit, or none at all.
but it always feels like its rigged against me

Yeah if its gonna be that just make it 50%

50% would be way to OP, every 2 hits would be you caught on fire, it would become easily too OP.

If your theory of 1/4 chance being a 11.11%~ chance of being hit is correct, then a 1/2 chance would be a 22.22%~ chance. Thats once every 4-5 hits. What’s your logic here…?

My logic is this:
1/5 = 20%
1/4 = 25%
1/2 = 50%
What I am saying is 1 out of 2 hits you would be caught on fire.

Yes that’s how fractions work.

Also that’s why it’s a RNG thing. If something is unreliable people won’t think of it as too powerful and it won’t be meta. 1/4 is good rn as it’s the right balance.

I don’t really understand. How is it RNG when its 1/4 hits? I thought that was meant to mean 1 out of every 4 hits you do will be fire.

It’s the same with book drops for lapis. Every time you do it there’s a 1 in 4 chance of something happening

I calculated it from this:

A 1/10 chance would be 10%, but you said 7 hits no hitting someone, meaning 8 hits to hit someone. Between 8 and 10 is 9, and 100 divided by 9 is 11.11, meaning by your logic a 1/4 chance would be a 11.11% chance, and a 1/2 chance would be twice that, making a 22.22% chance. That’s what i meant.
