Idea:
Add a temporary ban from any game that you leave more than a certain amount of times a minute, maybe like 5-10.
More information:
I have noticed that a lot of people in CTF will just join a game, then leave it right before it starts, screwing people out of a teammate. What im proposing is a temporary ban from that game if you leave it a certain amount of times, especially right before it starts. The ban times would be this:
1st offense: 1 minute
2nd offense 2 minutes
3rd offense: 5 minutes
4-10th offense: 10 minutes
11+: 30 minutes
Also it checks if someone you have reported is in your game, and excuses you a certain amount if that is the case. Anyway, thanks for reading, and please leave feedback!
what if you meet:
3 rounds of hackers, 7 rounds of having a grinding team, 4 rounds having sweats, 2 rounds the network crashed suddenly.
For most people they won’t enjoy a round they got completely killed and had no way to fight back, especially if the opposite team spawn kill

So I was meaning at the beginning of a match, so that you have not played with the people in your lobby, and cannot judge them well.
Banning players for not wanting to fight hackers or sweaty parties would incentivize people to hack or join a sweat party. How about instead of punishing the player for not wanting to fight against hackers or unfair enemies (For their skill level), we try to limit the exposure of sweaty parties to newer players? Like level-based queuing or ranked versions. For hackers, we just have to let the hive anti-cheat team cook. But if you don’t agree, at the very least remove the punishment for the 1st and 2nd because game crashes can happen.

Personally I would really not enjoy level based queuing, that would make it impossible to play for me without encountering sweats, maybe party based queuing would work though, filter out parties , especially of high leveled people. Also as I said before, this is for leaving at the beginning of a game, and this is for like 5 times in a minute.
I was just coming to make this exact suggestion
i mainly agree but i would say after their third offense then it should be 10 minutes i was in a ctf game today and 4 of ctf so called teamates left and it became a 2v6 which is very frustrating

Make this only for games like CTF or Gravity, because those are the games I don’t play.
I don’t like this idea as much, I’d like it more if it was for only for some games instead of them all. Other than that, it’s good. Voted! Until you fix it.

Ok, this was mostly for CTF anyway, I can make it just that and maybe other team games like the bridge duos

What if you get a message. You have 1 hour to reply: why did you leave x game after x minutes?
If you’d then reply with there where hackers, then nothing would happen.

Why is that the point? Level based queuing would make people who are not sweats but are high leveled not be able to play at all without encountering these people
Hello TouristyTea225, I thought your proposal was good. And I would like to provide an extra suggestion. This warning appears to the defecting player:
“You have had X games in a row that you abandon”
Followed by:
“Finish this game or you will be expelled from the room for 10 minutes, and you will not be able to play”
It’s a very simple suggestion, but I wanted to contribute something to your idea.

Ooo thats a good idea thank you but i dont tjink it should jus affect team playet games like ctf it should affect murder mystery bc hslf the time i play mm 5 out of every 10 games the murderer leaves and it waste the Sheriffs bow and peoples time

Not worth it, simply.
Leaving can be annoying but I think everyone reserves the right to leave. Requeueing because someone new joins your party, because there are hackers, because you don’t like the map, to meet your friend in the hub, because the game is getting long, etc. are all reasons to leave. BANS seem VERY extreme, even short ones.
Have a great day!

That’s just a solution I came up with. I didn’t really think about it that much. The point is banning people for requeuing is too extreme. You say this was meant for mostly ctf, so I suggest you edit it to say it’s for ctf since that’s the only gamemode where this is a major problem (As in make a note in the suggestion since I don’t think you can change the boxes at the top). You know the first reply outplayed your reasoning. You may not want to admit it, but it’s true.
So I feel like the ban is not too extreme as you said, it is only if you repeatedly leave before the start of the game. If you are in a lobby with sweats, then you will probably leave as soon as you see them, not like 5 seconds before it starts. This is mostly a suggestion about sweats doing this, not the general population.

This implies you mean everybody and not mostly sweats. Why didn’t you say it was for mostly sweats in the original suggestion? And yes, I know you mean it happens when everybody is out of the lobby. But that’ll just make people requeue in the lobby so they don’t get banned leading to insanely sweaty lobbies and lobbies with a bunch of new players.

As a sweat, I’m offended.
When hackers are in you wanna leave, when you get a CS invite you wanna leave, when your friend joins you wanna leave, when the game takes 60 years to finish you wanna leave…
There are so many situations where leaving is just necessary.

I’m sorry if I offended you, that was not the point I was trying to make. What I’m trying to say is that you get banned for a short period of time if you leave multiple times within one minute, like probably 3-5

I was kidding about the ‘offended’ thing.
This still seems really unfair to me though. There are SoooOOOOooooO many situations when you just want/need to leave a game within a minute.
SooooOOOOooooO many people complain about this and they still haven’t added a system to prevent it, so they probably won’t.
Have a great day!
