Influencer Rank

There should be an influencer rank added to the hive for the people who are famous irl or have a massive audience outside of hive content, and the specific current partner ranks such as “YouTube” and “TikTok” etc… and dont make content geared towards the hive.

I make music, and I’m at the point now where I’m getting noticed almost every time I go out in public.

I’ve tried my hand in almost every major platform out there and I’ve instantly gotten at least 10k on every platform simply because my fans want to keep up with me and what I’m doing.

A big reason of why I started playing on the hive more was because It felt like a second community we’re nobody necessarily knew about my fame or what I do outside of the hive community, but I’m ready for that to change and having a rank with perks similar to that of the partner rank would be really nice to have.

I’m sure there’s a fair number of other huge creators out there that love the hive as much as I do, and feel like more can be done for us in in-game regardless of if we don’t make hive specific content.

So make a few Hive videos and apply for whatever rank

That’s the problem, I can’t just switch up the content I make on my platforms to hive videos all of the sudden. They’re being used by me for music related content right now and if I switch up randomly not only would it not make sense to all the tens of thousands of people who follow me on them, but it would be completely non-related to what my platforms have grown for.

I mean James Charles got YouTube rank worth out hive videos so idk

hive would probably give you the role if your channel or whatever was big enough, but 10k isnt close. it would probably be at least 250k(for no hive content, if you made hive content obv that would be lower)

Yeah I heard about that, but see what I’m trying to get at is that there should be a general rank for those of us don’t just have one platform the we focus our efforts the most on, but are still a prominent figure.

I’m saying I wouldn’t want just a YouTube rank though. And also just to clarify I don’t just have 10k on yt (that was just the lowest amount of followers I have on any platform in general) I have over 35k. But my point is that my fan base isn’t geared towards just one platform such as yt. And I think we should be given an opportunity to have some set perks even if we dont line up specifically with the requirements for the other platform specific ranks.

ig that makes sense lol. also how do you have more subscribers than total views?

I took down all my old videos so YouTube could verify my Channel as an OAC. I was pulling around 1.8 million views a month back when I was actively uploading.

For youtube I would say 100k subs outside of hive content
Twitch average 400+ viewers and maybe like 6k followers idk (outside of hive content)

:skull:don’t think yall understand what I’m saying here lmao

If youtube is still overall your largest platform then it makes sense to do it this way, regardless of if its your main.
If you mostly want it to be recognized and your content to be easily accessible from whatever title you’re given then it should be something simple that already exists contrary to making a new title that would have to be explained every time imo.
As in, if someone sees you have youtube rank, they would be likely to look at your youtube page or whatever and if you link your other socials there it shouldn’t be an issue.

I feel like it wouldn’t make much sense to introduce another partner role. Our partner program is designed to benefit both our creators and the Hive. Being a partner without creating content that benefits the Hive wouldn’t be very ideal. Another separate role could also cause a lot of confusion among players, especially younger ones.

Don’t get me wrong, I definitely agree though that you should receive some sort of acknowledgement for your work. You’ve clearly earned it. I’m just not sure if an entirely separate single-case rank is the way to go.

Personally, if you dont have the time or cant because “can’t just switch up the content”, I feel you shouldnt get a rank. Why would you get a rank just because you are big on a social platform to where you dont post hive content. Doesnt make sense. If you want a rank, you can always apply at The Hive - Partner Program if you meet the requirements

To add on to what everyone else is saying, there’s just simply no need for something like this- in my eyes, the Hive Partner rank is about representing The Hive through their content- and something like this is not needed in my eyes as of right now.

With this new Influencer rank would also come categories that Lewis would have to come up with in every regard: how would someone qualify for this role and how would you really define their fame? What platforms would this influencer rank be able to show proof of their fame on? That would then open up the options of an Instagram rank, a Spotify rank, a Twitter rank, or one of which that would then have different qualifications, which again, is not only a hassle to come up with requirements for but would also not be necessary until the Hive shows more growth.

That’s it for now- but of course, let me know if anyone else has any extra opinions :]

James Charles got YouTube rank and he hasn’t ever uploaded a Hive video, and hasn’t uploaded in 2 months anyways. That just kinda feels like a double standard to me.

James Charles has previously played Minecraft and uploaded it on his channel - this post specifically mentions not really having to make ANY type of content that’s geared towards Hive. I don’t think Val (the maker of this post) has any interest in making Minecraft related content, which James Charles had been making and involved in for a while.

I guess…
He played Minecraft Mondays back a few years ago and uploaded 1 Minecraft video on his channel, not to mention those are all on Java edition anyways. Besides a few posts in the Hive Partners roster I wouldn’t even know he played Hive or even Minecraft Bedrock

James Charles is also 714x the size of Hella Blurry, James Charles is noticeably more “famous” than Hella Blurry. I’ve asked a handful of friends and they all have never heard of him. Not hating, just relaying the data.

True, but I’m going to keep saying it’s a double standard because it just seems like the Hive is giving ranks to big creators simply because they’re big, and not trying to promote actual Hive creators
