It’s 2025! What a year it has been. To celebrate this years Winterfest, hive brought us a new type of a cosmetic: tickets. Tickets are a paid item and give you a lot of things to earn through quests. The problem however, is that people will beg for the item non stop and just make it annoying for most people in the hub who just want to chill.
NOTE: I will be going over some things that are NOT implemented yet. I’m responsible for any miscommunication I could spread.
The concept is easy:
Each player has a free ticket that they can complete. It will be exactly the same as the paid one but with different cosmetics of course. The player CAN NOT be gifted the paid ticket before they complete the free ticket first( I will tell you why). The paid version will have different variants of the cosmetics the player has unlocked in the free version.
(Example: free version: snowy owl bed topper Paid version: mystic owl bed topper,
Free version: Reindeer Pet Paid version: Frost horn Reindeer Pet etc)
To prevent people from begging, I think being able to buy the ticket with 3000 QP (QuestPoints) could be a good idea but I’m not sure on that.
To unlock a variant for the cosmetic the player will need to get it by completing a semi-easy quest on the free version. Once they have done that, for all of the cosmetics, the player can go ahead and beg for the gift or buy it with QuestPoints.
This could be good for families that aren’t as wealthy as others and don’t have enough money to spend on a in game cosmetic. This will ensure every player will get something special to show-off or to use.
Not every season should have a free ticket as it could result in the hive not getting funds and I think we all know how that ended (for those who don’t know, that’s how hive java unfortunately shut down) but for winterfest I will recommend there being one as it is the season of giving. I do advise the hive doing a ticket for each season weather it is free or not as it gives the player something to do once they completed every thing.
Anyways, I hope you have are enjoying the holidays and a happy New Years!
