Fix Hive's PVP Physics

I’m fine with making KB more horizontal, and I agree that would require more skill.

I’m just confused because this wouldn’t solve SirUntouchable’s issue of “fights being one-sided” since a good player can still combo me off the edge of the map without me being able to hit them once

tht aint true i have like 4-6 cps and i can combo too

ok so just exchange yourself with the other person
YOU are completely armourless and theres a diamond armour tank who doesnt have a treasure who is unaware that they are standing on the edge what will you do
option 1 : run away and get killed by them later on
option 2: carry them off the edge

anyone can combo if you practice hard enough

i agree with all ur points bro, i have low cps and i combo too. i just want less vertical kb because vertical kb is better and requires more skill

Honestly i think the physics are all fine people just beg and beg because they don’t know how to adapt. You can figure out ways to get out of combos and other things. The only thing that does need to be fixed is the ender pearl thing.

im good at the game, i can combo and get out of combos, i just think vertical kb is worse that horizontal kb

scratch please stop only thinking about yourself. This is a topic to fix pvp on all of hive, not just pc; people are only talking about pc because they play on pc. Personally (as a mobile player) i can combo sometimes and i have to agree with most if not all of sir’s points.

  1. I wouldn’t call 5 blocks “in at the edge”
  2. This isn’t bashing on people who do that, but saying that it shouldn’t happen

The only slight problem I have about Hive pvp, are snowballs. If they respected the red hit cooldown, they would be much better in my opinion. Carrying people in the air would be much more difficult, and starting comboes would be slightly harder

WHY WHY WHY NO MORE EDITS

Also, its not that Gyrra can’t take a joke, its that you are quite literally the boy who cryed wolf when it comes to this. From what I can infer, you were talking about fighting PC players. You have complained about platform advantages more than I can count, so there is no reason for Gyrra to even worry about it being a joke, When it comes to this category, I have a feeling you weren’t joking lol. Don’t edit your posts, don’t delete them either. If you can’t take one reply, don’t say anything. Honestly, if I get 5 flags for being to harsh in this, I’m not going to edit it, or delete it, I couldn’t care less. If I can take 5 flags(which I think would get me suspended, or remove my regular), I think you can take one reply.

And to add to this topic, more horizontal KB just makes it more CPS based, with practice, the way it is, it is possible to combo with 2 cps, but when there is more horizontal KB, the person that gets the hit first wins, and the easiest way to do that is to click faster.

I’ll only post on good threads like these.

You can place blocks to get out of a combo, use projectiles, try(and i really mean try) to hit them back, walk backwards, or turn the opposite direction and run for your life. Personally, I think the knockback is fine. The only flaw is that they don’t take enough horizontal knockback. Also, w tapping and other methods don’t increase knockback.

Only problem was because I didn’t have anything to protect myself with, mainly because it was on TW where you respawn with absolutely nothing. So basically you will have nothing to defend yourself with other being flung into the void multiple times while also having to protect your treasure by trying your best.

(at that point of time the fist guy had to keep doing this so his friend could break the treasure)

but I will definitely try next time if I do have things to defend myself with.

When I play MC on hive and watch montages on hypixel like bedwars montages, I see players like sammygreen only winning certain fights because of the knockback that the other players had which would send them flying into the void. I think changing the pvp mechanic would be great but ultimately like I said before its a bit to late and people like me and others would have to adapt to the whole pvp mechanic.

I think snowballs should be dialed down a lot, but be able to shoot them faster and get more of them, look at Hypixel, there snowballs do very little KB, but you get a lot of them and it makes for some really fun comboing techniques.

Yeah true, I like how it will be less CPS based, I agree, Hive simplified pvp wayyyy too much, for example, w-tapping, s-tapping, rod-pvp, actual hard combos, blockhitting and so much more or not in The Hive. (Blockhitting isn’t on bedrock so idc about that one) You really don’t have to have that much skill to combo people on The Hive, its essentially just aim, cps isn’t even that big, you can easily combo people with only like 4 cps. Also another thing is that in regular Minecraft (Java, idk about bedrock) you take 0.6 the amount of KB you normally take when attacking, so if someone hits you when you click, you take less KB, that’s also not in The Hive. I think The Hive pvp is perfect for mobile players right now, and I think they should have a separate server for mobile players to stop it from being unfair for Win10 and console players. Win10 and console players need the features that I mentioned above though, also snowballs need to deal less KB and enderpearl trajectory needs to be better.

i didnt get it explain it to me in dms pls

You can still wtap and stap to make your movement more unpredictable and maintain spacing between you and your opponent. The difference is that sprint resetting doesn’t affect the amount of kb you deal like it does on java, and it’s not only specific to the hive

The sprint resetting mechanic probably won’t ever be implemented unless mojang adds some sort of toggle sprint on mobile
