Seeing as HiveMC is closing down in April, there should probably be acknowledgement that it’s happening.
Acknowledgement in the form of an event. Some big event that takes place a day or two before HiveMC shuts down. An event taking place on both Hive servers to remember good times and to wish HiveMC goodbye.

I mean, pretty sure you need optifine for custom models on java, custom stuff is a lot more command based on java than on bedrock from what I’ve seen. Good idea though
I think this shouldn’t really be on the bedrock’s forums, it belong more on the Java’s forums

I think the perfect shut down would be leaving as is, and the devs just being there for the final moments
I don’t think they should create a event
As the final moments are the event, and everyone being there to thanks the hive for the amazing server.
The community will probably make it into an event since everyone will want to witness its final moments

not many ppl know about hive java as most ppl are on console and PE. So acknowledging that hive java existed and is going to shut down will confuse quite a few players but its definitely a must have to farewell hive java. What if theres like a “farewell hive java” hub title or like a free costume that’s named “hive java” to acknowledge hive javas fall and existence. I hope ThanPixel or somebody else will step up and maybe make like a hive screenshot on both java and bedrock.
We already have a costume for Java ultimate members
So I think a hub title would be better

I don’t play Java but still Hive shutting down hit hard bc I heard so much about it. Well there are 2 more months.
Yes, they should make events on both servers and give a hub title to bedrock players.
A Farewell event would be nice, as we see the birthplace of Hive disappear

Most bedrock players didn’t even know The hive Java servers existed
Their shouldn’t be a event in bedrock for Java servers shutting down
There should be a sort of, longish event to welcome in the Java Players maybe?
perhaps all stuff from java should come to bedrock like hub titles and ranks since all java players will be getting ms accounts soon.

The only thing I’d like to come from java is blockparty (with in game music) and TIMV

To second this and I’m sorry if this makes anyone a little mad
But, it wouldn’t make sense to post a “ java event “ when not many people even know java
Now if the event was posted on java it would make way more sense, but not bedrock.
Most java players aren’t even moving to bedrock as well, and having an event would be useless if many java players won’t even be there
A few maps released from java would be nice and arcade games great
But an event honoring the loss of java on bedrock wouldn’t make sense.
I simply feel it would be rude to honor something that half the players wouldn’t even understand
And it’s a disrespect towards the java players who are genuinely upset about this hard decision made
As a bedrock community, we must respect that the java community needs time to process whats happening
As java was a home to many people and had much more meaning than just a game
I don’t feel bedrock should celebrate this if they have never even played java
And it would be like doing birthday party stuff at a funeral, it’s would be pretty disrespectful to Java players, since they already are forced to play another server or to play bedrock
im fine what happens as long as the java players are respected well
