With the new MM LTM, Microhub, and Update on the horizon, I believe Murder Mystery should get an exp rework, as right now grinding those 600 levels is insanely slow.
Currently experience is mapped out as this
Collecting a coin - 2XP (Murder cap 30, Innocent cap 50)
Killing the murderer - 30XP
Killing an innocent/sheriff as the murderer - 15XP
Innocents/Sheriff get 5 xp for every 30 seconds survived, double if they live till the end.
I believe this Exp system would be better
Collecting a coin 3XP Murder cap 30, Innocent cap 80 (Increased so XP can be gained quickly if murderer is slow at killing)
Killing the Murderer as Innocent 50XP
Killing the Murderer as Sheriff 30XP
Killing an innocent as Murderer 15XP
Killing a Sheriff as Murderer 25XP
Picking up the Sheriff hat 25XP
For every 30 seconds survived, Innocents gain 8XP
For every 30 seconds survived, Sheriffs gain 5XP
I have other suggestions for Murder Mystery, but I feel like this EXP revamp will make grinding a more entertaining experience. As right now it takes so long to gain any levels.
Read the first bit again, that was the intro to my suggestion, just stating that an MM uodate is on its way, and with an uodate coming I would like these EXP changes.
W suggestion, it’s not super extreme either like some other xp suggestions are, it just adds a lot of quality of life changes

Maybe for innocents, because realistically if you get close to 80 coins that’s kinda crazy, but I guess for those overachievers, but we should keep it for mur just to keep the “let’s get the murderer to actually play the game” kinda deal hive has been starting to enforce (which I very much appreciate )

I have played 2500 ish games.
I’m 40% of the way to level 100
or
8% of the way to prestige 5 (not even including the whole 100 levels after that.)
I have an average of 75 Exp per game (climbing as of now, but still, better than many people)
To get to level 100, I would need to play around 3800 games. Or to prestige 5 around 30K games.
Assuming the Average game takes 2 minutes (Low estimate) thats 126 hours of playing to get level 100, or 976 hours of playing to get prestige 5, or 40 straight days of playing. Over a month of playing to get prestige 5.
Now all this could be shortened if we take into account that recently ive been getting like twice my average EXP.
But even then, saying its not that long is crazy.
Yeah, that checks out, I’m just about lvl 260, and I have a total of 16k games, which equates to about 70xp per game. Anyways, good luck on ur grind! And I know from personal experience long sessions of grinding can get kinda boring/lonely, so if u ever need a fellow MM player to make it a bit more fun just lmk
This is a bad idea because it takes away from people who have already put in the work. Plus didn’t mm just get an XP revamp not too long ago? If you want an easier time grinding, you can get boosters from the qp store or buy a rank. I have played like 17k games already.
We got an xp revamp a few years ago.
And although you’re right that it makes people gain lvls faster, it’s not taking away from people. Leaderboards are ranked by wins.
This reaction is given alot any time an exp boost is proposed, but frankly its not logically sound.
Yes people have spent alot of time grinding MM to get max. But them having a more difficult time does not justify having a slower xp system. But then again, this xp revamp isnt even that radical, it doesnt even double the max xp able to be gotten each game. Not even including the fact that in most games the 80 coin max won’t be able to be obtained.
People weren’t mad when Ground Wars got an xp boost, sone with Just Build. The “I struggled so others should too!” argument has never been a good one, nor a popular one.
For your information, I have Ultimate, and had Hive+ for a few years before Ult was released. I often play with boosters on MM. Also I messaged a Prestige 5 Level 100 player (Shout out Llynxn) about this proposed recamp and she thought it was a good idea.
Grinds shouldn’t be easy, yes. That’s why I didn’t make the xp boosts extreme. You din’t have to vote for this plan, but your arguments against it aren’t really valid.
Currently with boosters and ultimate rank you can easily score 600+ xp per game as murderer and 400+ as innocent already. An XP revamp is completely unnecessary as leveling up is the easiest it has ever been. “People weren’t mad when ground wars got an xp boost” that’s because literally nobody plays ground wars. If your plan got passed we could have games where people get 1000 xp per game, this would be absolutely ridiculous. Also the point of prestige is that it’s hard to get to! Hive added them to give players something to grind to. Nobody is forcing you to prestige… you can stay at level 100 and you’re technically “max level”. If you prestige and want things to be easier, maybe murder mystery isn’t the game for you.

The max xp with Ultimate rank and booster is 669.75, So maybe easily 600 for murderer
Innocent’s max is 517, IF you get 50 coins, survive to the last minute, and shoot the murderer.
With the Exp revamp, with Ultimate the max exp is
~787.25 for murderer (technically a murderer can kill multiple sheriffs in a game if someone picks it up, but around there)
and 850.7 xp for innocents (unlikely, as rarely people collect 80 coins per game)
Thats a 60% Boost on xp for innocents (again unlikely to get max xp most games)
And an ~16% boost for murder.
As I said, Grinding shouldnt be easy, this doesnt make it so. You can argue that the innocent xp boost is too much. But alot of that is caused by the over 25% boost of the Coin cap, which as I have stated many times, isn’t something likely to be reached. Just a way to make games where the murderer doesnt kill slightly better.
