No it’s not a Minecraft bug because Minecraft just had an update. It happened to me again today.

Here’s some more info:
This bug only occurs from a ‘screen animation’ this can mean the shop or running a command like /friend or /party.
Seemingly randomly, the entire Heads Up Display (HUD) vanishes. No controls if you’re mobile, no hearts or hunger either.
You can’t move, because there aren’t controls, and you can’t even run a command to return to the hub or re-queue because the chat button is part of the HUD.
This has been annoying me a LOT and if this person didn’t beat me to it I would’ve made a bug report.

I cannot move my screen at all and just stops working for me, and is not the screen for my iPad. This doesn’t happen for anything else, so I suppose it’s some sort of hive bug. This started to happen around mid-August for some reason.

I’m ipad and I have yet to have this bug, I also haven’t updated mc in a few months so maybe the cause of this has smth to do with an update?

I keep getting this bug too many times, please fix this Hive! Please! I’m begging you on my hands and knees! It gets annoying after a while (like me).

I really do think it’s a Minecraft bug. Cause if it was just hive, it wouldn’t happen on other servers, which, surprise surprise, it does. I think it’s a ui glitch
Possibly, there’s a way Hive could fix it on their side!

It’s still not fixed yet. Did anyone see my screenshot i uploaded a few weeks ago?
So, I am on ios/mobile, NA region on the newest version, and 50% of the time when I open the shop in Bedwars, every single button on my screen vanishes. This is bad because I can’t leave the shop, even though I can’t see it, because of the screen freezing. When this happens, I have to wait to get afk kicked or leave the game, not by pressing the leave/menu button, but by manually swiping out of the entire game; frustrating. I call it “shop glitch” but I’m sure there is a better name out there.

This keeps happening to me MID MATCH or when I’m chatting with a friend in the hub and it is SO ANNOYING.
this bug happens to me on a lot of other servers when doing things such as opening inventories or ui so i don’t really think it’s a hive issue
i looked on the minecraft bug tracker and found [MCPE-101969], most likely the issue causing it
i don’t know if hive can do anything to fix this but then again, i might be wrong
They say they may be able to even if it is a MC issue.

ive had similar problems… but the cortrols are there… you just can’t move, evn though you press w.
Yeah, I believe what occurs is that the screen animation doesn’t finish loading, making this weird limbo state like what you get from a laggy screen animation.
It can also be fixed by nether travel, so if it happens in a lobby no need to relog, just fyi.

true true true… but it may just be a MC problem…
It is likely an MC issue, but the Hive says to still send videos so they can fix it on their side.

This has happened to me before.
The only way I can get out of it is by spamming escape.
