Idea:
Change the colour of the VIP Rank to a different colour, to differentiate it more from the Ultimate Rank. For Example, the dark purple, or the pink, shown below and compared against the Ultimate Rank.

My reason for this suggestion is, as the name of the rank suggests, VIP’s are meant to be “Special” and therefore stand out more. As it’s very similar in colour to the Ultimate Rank, this is no longer a thing and makes the rank no longer stand out and less special. You can see this via these images:
If you didn’t know who the person is, you probably wouldn’t be able to tell who is the
VIP and who is the
Ultimate Rank, which is why I suggest to change it to one of the colours shown in the previous pictures. (Perhaps change Streamer and tiktok ranks too?)
Yeahh I fully agree with you here, with the addition of Ultimate rank they do blend in a lot. Especially at a quick glance i doubt you’d even notice it
Both are very good colour options-- they still maintain the kind of colour that VIP has always been, but it also makes them stand out more from the crowd.
The dark magenta would correspond very nicely with the discord role colour,
however also i feel like the pink would contrast a lot better with the other ranks, since they are all the regular shades of colours instead of being the more saturated “darker” colours.

If Ultimate could be dark blue, or orange, that would fix it more.
Here’s why—
The light green and light purple are hard to see amount a white background, also known as the friend list.
Secondly, the gray color is used to color the levels 1-9, and the green 50-79, as it’s a better color. The purple color is used to color the levels 30-49, symbolizes that purple is not as good a color as ultimate. Blue however, is not used for any rank and is used for level 100. That’s why ultimate should be blue.

I thought it would be the exact same, now that it’s here the color is fine.
As a TikTok rank I agree massively with this statement. Since the new ultimate rank I no longer get noticed which is a key way I continue to get traction on my tiktok account.
I would love to have a new colour that makes us more obvious (maybe the blue colour helpers used to have since their rank is no longer available)

My opinion on this might be a little biased, but I do agree that the VIP rank color should be changed. Ultimately, it blends in enough with the Ultimate rank color, making it hard to tell apart; the same could be assumed for the Streamer and TikTok ranks.
Considering the nature of the VIP, Streamer, and TikTok ranks, they are meant to somewhat stand out amongst the crowd. While ranks like YT and Hive still stand out, the release of the Ultimate rank has made the Plus rank more noticeable than the VIP, Streamer, and TikTok ranks which makes these ranks underwhelming to look at. Changing it to the pink color (second image of the original post) would be optimal, as it would not be too different from the original color, and should make the VIP rank pop out more than it does now. For the Streamer and TikTok ranks, they could have colors that would make more sense for what they are given out for. The Streamer rank could be changed to dark purple, and the TikTok rank could be changed to either blue or red.
Considering the roles on Discord were recently revamped, it makes sense to update the in-game role colors as well. Hopefully, this suggestion will be taken into consideration, thank you for reading!

If anything, The Hive should probably change the color of Hive Ultimate, one being that it’s newer, so things can still be changed, and two is that VIP has always been known as a pink rank.

Or the color I suggested on my own post.: ) Violet isn’t that eye catching either. So [VIP] should be Orange / Gold if current color is creating visual issues
And the [streamer] or [TikTok] rank should stay as they are right now. No major changes otherwise it will change the trademark of this rank believe me.

I don’t see them changing the colour of the Ultimate Rank, as Violet was the colour that was advertised you’d receive upon purchase. This is mainly the reason why I’m asking to change VIP (And streamer and tiktok since they have the same colour (Why do they have the same colour?)) to a different colour.

I don’t really understand the purpose of restricting rank colours to correspond with in-game level colours, as quite frankly i’ve never seen a connection between them. So for that reason I wouldn’t see why changing VIP rank colour would be a problem, I’m not asking for a complete colour change just to make it lighter or darker than it is now (Like in the pictures).
We are used to Hive plus’s lime ( light green) color so violet color seems darker hard to read names sometimes. And a little bit improvement will not hurt the purpose of this ultimate rank. And this VIP and Media ranks were same for a long time but nobody complained. Why ? Because it is standing out and rare rank.
So my idea was to change the [U] rank’s color. A new trademark for new rank. Since [U] rank’s color caused all of this I thought why not use this ( either blue or light aqua ) color instead. This will resolve bunch of visual issues as you mentioned without changing old ranks.

Yes please just change the color! I regret purchasing it at this point. I think the best way to do it is to add a color picker, similar to the peg menu, or allow us to convert our colors back to hive+ in chat
