Idea:
Change the color of the Ultimate rank from purple!
More information:
This recently closed topic: Change VIP Rank Colour suggested changing the VIP rank color, a rank usually reserved for retired Hive staff, from the shade of purple it currently is. The argument for this was that it’s too similar to the Ultimate rank’s color.
On that post, I left a comment with this model,
and a suggestion to change the Ultimate color instead.
Choosing this honey color automatically makes the rank feel so much more Hive-y and really feel like the “ultimate” level (that a regular player can reach).
Another option would be, as @Areeb197825 said, to make an aqua color of some kind as shown here:
Aqua would also work since any shade of blue is very distinct from any other rank on Hive. (i personally prefer the honey.)
VIP’s deserve their own rank color, considering they’re the best among Hive’s former staff (and some ex-Helpers) and choosing one of these options avoids confusion with the VIP. Specifically, the honey color makes the rank feel so much more Hive themed and really feels like the ‘ultimate’ level. It makes it distinct and unique, and also adds a special Hive style flair to it.

I’m not sure about this it looks to much like hive rank( the staff rank )
I think the honey color could work, they are very different from each other. Hive rank appears to be #ffff55, while the suggested Ultimate rank color appears to be #d99236.

The cosmetics for ultimate are all purple.

That is true, however, there is no purple in the cubee balloon, wasp wings, most hub titles, or the bee hat. Granted, the pet and hoodie bee costume is purple, same with some avatars and the ‘Ultimate Power!’ hub title. I understand Hive not wanting to change the color, but @AJtheOtter did make a good point. Ultimate and VIP rank are very similar in color.
Many players may recognize the difference and the words in the ranks, but some may not. The problem I think some have is more that the two ranks look so similar that the VIP rank does not appear very special anymore. A lot of ranks stand out on their own, hive rank, YT rank, hive +, etc, for their unique colors and vibrancy. VIP and Ult do not have much of a difference, they sort of blend in.
Personally, I’m fine with the purple, though I do think honey could be a good color option too. I like both colors honestly :] I attached an updated image with the current VIP and Ult colors next to each other

The Ultimate is the color on the far right!
Maybe the hive rank and Ultimate rank could swap colors since [Hive] is for staff and [Vip] is for former staff

Yes, all the Ultimate cosmetics are purple. However, I actually think Purple and Honey go together rather nicely. Also, I believe (don’t know this for sure, heard it second hand from somebody) that they changed the rank color for Hive+ at some point, so we know that it’s possible assuming that’s true.
Hive being yellow makes a lot of sense because it’s similar to the lighter yellow MOD, which could be a problem if Ultimate and Hive swapped, so the honey colour makes more sense at least imo. Voted!

If not yellow, aqua/blue would also look good perhaps
we dont have any blue ranks on hive
then we can give discord boosters their purple rank back

I’ve updated the post to contain @Areeb197825‘s suggestion of a blue name. I did not include the part about discord boosters getting their rank color back, because I figure changing one rank color is already a big enough ask.
