I just lost my would-be 50-day login streak, the longest it’s ever been for me, to time zones.
It’s 7:50 PM EST as I’m writing this, and I logged on in panic remembering that the cutoff time was recently changed from 8 PM to 7 PM in my time zone.
This is the most common way I’ve lost my streak, and I bet many other people have had problems with it too. I suggest that depending on which region you’re in, you should be able to choose your time zone from a list that only applies to people who live in that region. I don’t see how this could be difficult to keep track of, as coding wise, I think all that would have to be done is to do some simple math from UTC to whatever time zone is chosen.
I’ve made many suggestions, but this is the one I will stand by most firmly.
As Smiley and Hades said (thanks), I can’t find your house just from your time zone. All I know is that you live in Easten North America, but millions, maybe billions of people live there.
Your time zone always decides the streak. So even if you are on the Asia server, you would lose or gain your streak the same as if you were in the North America server
Nah that just doesn’t work because they have to find the player’s timezone that can be difficult or easy idk. With this I really thinked that the hive made it to reset the streak every UTC +0 to make it consistent across all players. It’s your fault on losing your login streak not the hive unless their servers crash somehow.
