Why 1,16.100 support shouldnt be removed

1.16.100 is a great version of minecraft bedrock especially for Hive pvp. i would also like to mention the reasons why it is better for pvp

  1. No hit delay
yes, this may sound small problem but it is big and important in 1.17 ur hits dont register as quick as it does in 1.16 if updates happens this is gonna effect 2/3 of the community
  2. Aim
i dont really know if i can explain this issue well but ill try . Basically in 1.17 ur aim is kind of OVERSMOOTH and more like cinematic not a quick move
i tried using my 1.16.100 settings of sensivity and dpi on 1.17 but turns out it was miserable my aim was completely broken and its impossible to find a better sensivity
  3. Shader support
due to Render Dragon our 3rd party shaders aren’t working anymore there are alot of content creators and shader lovers who find shaders important many people do have money to have a RTX gpu and use ray tracing.
I hope the friendly developers of Hive understand this problem and keep supporting 1.16.100.
    Thank you

As per my knowledge, Hive chose to remove the support for 1.16 as the newer versions of Minecraft bring in a lot more features that the hive can use to create better content on the server and other gameplay features.
Secondly, they have the data that shows the number of players playing on the 1.16 version which is probably way less now as compared to a few months ago so it would make sense to force update it than keep the support for the version which means this problem won’t be a big deal

Not to mention that 1.18 update is really close which means there will possibly be more features that will come along with it.
I do understand the frustration with shaders as I, myself, am a shaders enthusiast but eventually, newer updates would matter more as they’ll bring in a better gameplay experience and more features.

shaders may not be a big deal for me but any idea about the hit reg and aim fix?

As far as I know, hit registrations mostly depends on one’s internet connection and doesn’t really have to do with the version of Minecraft. (I might be wrong but that’s my understanding) Like I mentioned before, the Hive must have collected data on how many players are actually playing on 1.16 which is probably very low because of which the decision to stop the support for 1.16 was taken.
I’m not sure about the aim problem since this is the first time hearing this?

If 1.16 gives all these benefits, then it could be considered “unfair” to those that are forced to update.

We will not be overturning our decision on this.

As much as we appreciate your frustration, less than 1% of our player base still use a 1.16.X version of Minecraft. Whilst we try to cater to all players and subcommunities on The Hive, it no longer feels right to hold back features from the remaining 99%.

I encourage you to raise awareness for the issues you have mentioned by upvoting the issues on Minecraft’s bug tracker, and using their feedback site.
