We need a crossbow!

1 The most frequent argument against a crossbow is: “Why do we need it if we have a bow?” However, these two types of weapons, despite the same basic mechanics, are fundamentally different in use, and having a crossbow will significantly change PVP, but at the same time will not make the bow useless.
2 The crossbow is ideal for escaping from other players or chasing them: you only need to press the right mouse button, it is much more convenient than shooting a bow, since the crossbow does not reduce your mobility. Moreover, it will also become more convenient to shoot from cover. And multishot and piercing enchantments will make the crossbow effective against large groups of players.
3 The bow will also remain necessary, since the main disadvantage of the crossbow is the rate of fire.

The bow has always been a controversial thing throughout Minecrafts lifetime, I don’t really feel as if the crossbow being added to (I assume) TW would be necessarily the best idea for the Hive going forward, I also feel as if this would lead to a lot of backlash from the community sadly.

Of course, the addition of a new weapon will not please part of the community. However, I believe that if HIVE does not bring new things to PVP, it can repeat the fate of many servers on the Java Edition after the release of 1.9, when PVP was significantly redesigned. In addition, it is necessary to understand that in addition to the negative, there will also be a positive reaction from the community in the form of increased activity.
