So in bridge, it takes 20 seconds to start the game, another 15 seconds for you to select your kit, and then 5 seconds between people scoring and 15 seconds at the podium until you are requeued. That’s like, a minute of waiting, and you need to remember that you have to wait for a player to join as well which can be very annoying.
I’ve come here to try and fix that.
Map voting time gets shortened to 10 seconds, but you will also be able to change your kit in that space of time, kit selection time is shortened to 5 seconds, you will have the chance to change your kit then as well, and the podium time is shortened to 5 seconds. (I do know that you can just requeue but it still shouldn’t take 15 seconds)
It only cuts off 30 seconds, but that builds up. Most max level players play close to 1000 bridge games until they max it, and you can do the math. 30000 seconds. That is 500 minutes, or 8 HOURS AND 20 MINUTES SAVED.
Now, you may be wondering,”bu- bu- but what about the overview?” You will get it as soon as you get to the podium, but before your next game starts, you will have an item and you can look at the overview of your past 3 games.

Why not just make the kit selection during the game starting point? Just select it before the game starts and you’re good to go! It can be just like map selection. Or just make kit selection during before the game starts and when you were originally supposed to select the kit. Just shorten the time to 5 seconds for original kit selection time and make the waiting time for the game to start also allow you to select the kit!

The long waiting times for a two player game especially doesn’t make any sense. If anything, these changes should be applied to every game with maybe some tweaks based on the game. Voted.

I also think that the time for waiting for a player is ridiculous. I’ve seen a YouTube video before of a lvl 20 in bridge waiting for almost 5 minutes because the players keep leaving. So any ideas for that Guys?
There could just be a rule where you just can’t leave but I don’t know. What are your thoughts guys?
Excellent idea. I do think it would be weird that only bridge would have the shorter pregame countdown time when every single gamey has the twenty second time. Also for bridge to have the podium timer be shorter than every other game would be strange. I think that this should be an “anything else” suggestion in which you suggest decreasing said timers for all Hive games.
What I do is go into the gym under the spawn or the racket ball court and toggle crouch in the corner, so they can’t see my hive ultimate plus level twenty. That usually works.
This isn’t a very satisfying solution, but until
Hive makes a better one, you can use this.
I think that Hive should hide rank, level, cosmetics, and maybe even skin, since all three (sometimes four) of these things can cause players to leave out of intimidation. Sorry that was irrelevant to the topic, but I had to say it.

I just maxed bridge yesterday with the help of @MaybeCreaks , and I’m pretty sure that the time for waiting for players is shorter on duos, which is good when you play with a teamate

So here is the thing, I feel quite passionate about this topic as the pain you go through waiting in the bridge is actually so annoying, so I want to keep this alive so more people can see it and more people can vote for it therefore giving a bigger change to be seen by the mods and accepted. Buuuuuuut there is not really anything else to talk about. Soooooo does anyone NOT agree with any of the changes I have made? Im fine if you don’t!
