Have Voice Channels in the hive server

I think that having at least 1 VC in the hive server is a good idea because it goes well with #looking-for-party.

As a console player, connecting Discord to Xbox is one of the only ways I can communicate via mic. You cannot join VCs from DMs so the only way is to join a server VC.

I hope that this will be taken into account.

I don’t think so. Vcs are supposed to be voice calls from discord or another platform that has that. Nayways, how would this happen? Like prox chat? And I don’t think this is possible on the server.

VC’s used to exist on the Discord Server and it got removed for iirc too much strain on Moderation and Maintenance required. So I don’t think VC’s will be a thing on the Hive for a very long time, if not, ever.

Edit: You could alternatively, make your own server and invite your friends to it so then you can utilize the VC function on Consoles.

This is probably not something we’d be comfortable doing. There are various reasons behind our decision to not have VCs, mainly related to moderation and player safety.

Discord luckily makes it very easy to make your own groups and servers!
