I know that suggesting a UHC game mode on Hive is nothing new, and the game mode itself isn’t new or original, but I still believe it would be a good addition to the server. The Hive is the largest official bedrock edition server by far, and rightfully so considering they put a twist on to classic games like Skywars for a breath of fresh air. So why can’t they just do the same with UHC?
UHC is a game mode that isn’t on any other official bedrock edition server, and if you look at Minecraft’s looking for group posts on console, you can see that UHC is something that people host often because it is a game mode people want to play, but no server hosts it. I believe that UHC would be a popular game mode considering the demand for it, and it would be smart to try and capitalize on that by being the only server with UHC on it. I’m not saying it’s gonna increase player count ten fold but it definitely would bring in more players since it would be the only server with this game mode. With UHC starting to gain popularity again on Java, and YouTube it would be smart to try and capitalize on that. I personally play and enjoy UHC a lot and would love to see it on an official server to make playing rounds of UHC easier to find, and more enjoyable to play.
I honestly don’t have any ideas for how to modernize the UHC game mode, but the point of this wasn’t to invent the game mode for you, but to give you a reason to consider making one.
Also the fact that hypixel can’t seem to manage their uhc gamemode while having alot more staff and resources then the hive tells me that it would be a huge logistical challenge for a gamemode that wouldn’t do all that well pretty quickly
The problem with Hypixel’s management on UHC is not that they couldn’t, but that they didn’t because it was a dying game mode. Now that UHC is starting to gain popularity once more, Simon has said that they would be fixing the UHC game mode now that it is more popular, meaning they do have the resources to do so and just chose not to, to prioritize the more popular games like Skyblock or Skywars. With Hive being the largest server on bedrock edition, I would find it hard to believe they wouldn’t have enough resources to deal with 1 new game, even if UHC only had like 30 players in a round, less than half of hypixel’s, it would still make for a fun game.
