Tower Wars

Update: Literally nobody has commented on this post in 2 hours so I cut down the post by like 25%.

How it will work is 2 teams of 5 will either be designated as “Raiders” or “Defenders”. They will also be designated a leather helmet colored blue if they are the raiders and red if they are the defenders based on their role the first round. The defenders’ goal is to stop the raiders from climbing the outside of the tower and reaching the top. The raiders will have a 5 minute time limit to reach the top. And the red glass in the screenshot indicates the area the raiders can build. The raiders win the round by one raider stepping foot on the top of the tower. Once the raiders win or the 5 minute timer has finished the roles are switched. If the previously defenders who are now raiders climb the tower faster than the original raiders then they win. But if the original raiders climb the tower faster then they win. The raiders will be given 64 wool blocks of their team’s color and shears. The raiders do not have access to the inside of the tower as that is where the defender’s power-ups spawn. Also, along with power-ups the defenders will have an infinity bow and 1 arrow to defend the tower. The defender’s armor will be full iron but a leather helmet of whatever color decided. The raiders will have the same armor. The height of the tower will be 20 blocks; Unless a certain power-up is used. Also, to prevent people from bow spamming you will only be able to fire an arrow once per second. Becasue let’s be real this minigame would be no fun if bow spamming was possible.

Power-ups:

Each role will have three power-ups to work with. The raider’s power-ups will spawn randomly on the ground. The defender’s power-ups will spawn inside the tower as shown in one of the screenshots.

Defender’s Power-ups:

  1. The “Firework”. The firework is a power-up were your bow is turned into a loaded crossbow with a firework as ammunition. The firework will severly damage the player hit with the firework. The firework will NOT kill the target player. You will only have one firework to fire per power-up. This power-up can also be used to destory an active shield power-up and will then cause 2 hearts of damage to the shield user.

  2. The “Nuke”. The nuke is a designated spawn which will spawn halfway through the 5 minute timer. The nuke will only spawn once per round. What the nuke will do is once set off it will break every single block placed by the raiders that entire round and will kill all raiders except those will the shield power-up activated. Those with the previously mentioned power-up activated will have the power-up broken and take 5 hearts of damage. Now, that sounds pretty overpowered, huh? Well, the catch is that the height of the tower will be cut in half when the nuke is used.

  3. The “Eye Need Help!”. The power-up is a spyglass as shown. To use it you must focus on a specific area for 2 seconds using the vanilla function of the spyglass. This is a quick way of basically saying, “Hey there’s alot of people here and I need help!” A notification we appear that says “Your Teammate, [ign], needs some help!”. A marker will activate upon the area choosen by the user of the spyglass.

Raider’s Power-ups:

  1. The “Shield”. The shield power-up will give the raider an x amount of seconds shield which will deflect normal arrows. This can be deactivated early by a defender using a firework power-up on you and will also lead to you taking 2 hearts of damage.

  2. The “Teleport Teammate”. This power-up when used will cause one of your teammates to teleport to you 3 seconds after use. The reason for the delay is so the called upon teammate can prepare to be teleported and if above the ground not immediately walk off. You will be able to decide who to call in a little menu screen. The player being called upon will have dark red text appear on their screen.

  3. The “Second Chance”. The second chance power-up is basically a totem of undying. However, it will be used up when a nuke is used and you’ll be left on 2 hearts like the shield power-up. You can also give this to another teammate by using your platform of choice’s throw item button.

please dont ping me in your suggestion just to try and ratio me :stuck_out_tongue:

as for the suggestion idrk maybe im missing something but it doesn’t seem like theres a lot of gamesense involved like other gamemodes (ctf, tw, sky), and it overall just seems like a boring game to be playing. if the tower defenders are obviously way more experienced then the raiders then there really isnt any point in trying. and giving powerups to defenders makes them way more op

I get where you’re coming from but then it would be op for raiders to just have power-ups and defenders not to.

I did this cause I assumed nobody was reading the post and thus nobody commenting on it because it was way too long.
