The Problem with Diamond Armor (and what we can do to fix it)

Diamond armor in Treasure Wars has a HUGE issue. It’s not the cost (which I think is perfect), but rather how many hits you take with a diamond sword before you die. It takes 20 HITS before the diamond armor guy dies, which is making it more OP. And this is without a golden apple! This NEEDS to be stopped!

My proposal is that diamond armor with a diamond sword should be 15 hits (not including gapples). Stone and iron swords are fine as is.

Don’t get into a melee fight unless you’re confident you can win it. Knock them off with a bow/snowballs(if they don’t have mid control), or bait them into a trap.

Also, if someone has dia armor, you really messed up at mid. You have to get 28 ems for it now, which means that they had to be uncontested at mid for about 3 minutes(yes, they can get it after a long fight at mid, but you would’ve had some defense against them if you defeated them some).

No. No it does not.

I mean, your suggestion would make it so that it’s not much better than iron armor. Calculating the protection level of iron armor with prot 1 on the chestplate(with the bedrock edition formulas, taken from Armor/Bedrock Edition – Official Minecraft Wiki (gamepedia.com)), it has 17.5 armor points. This makes it so a dia sword(8 total damage I believe, might be 7) would do 2.4 damage(as each armor point gives a 4% reduction to damage)

Yeah I usually just get about 8 stacks of snowballs and I fly them to Australia.

I agree with the armor being overpowered. The best way to kill people with diamond is buying snowballs and knocking them off or making them chase you to a bridge and trap them by turning around and block trapping them.

Personally If you know they are Diamond armour you can bow them till they are pretty low then go in. or get a mad combo which doesn’t happen often as I am a mobile player.

Bumping this because this is still (maybe) a good suggestion and I made it a little harder to beat. My original suggestion stated that diamond armor with a diamond sword could be 10 hits. I changed it so it could be 15 hits (which is probably possible).

i prefer 10 hits with a diamond sword. 15 for stone

Wouldn’t that throw off the balance more than I have already suggested?

Also someone can get diamond armor in 5 minutes and with the bows doing less damage from close range you can’t successfully bow spam making the only way to deafest a good player with diamond armor is buy getting snowballs or your own diamond armor.

not really if dia armer is 10 hits no matter the weapon it’s useless to get anything other than a stone sword
