  • The Hive Sniping Problem

    So basically if you grind with a party in for example bedwars (where this is affected the most) you will get SNIPED by a cheater.

    • -What is sniping?

      Sniping is when your getting targeted by a cheater with the most blatant cheats imaginable (basically impossible to beat) People usually would do this to ruin someones winrate, or slow someone down while grinding e.g. when season 4 released it was impossible to level up as cheaters were just basically sniping every grind to prevent them from leveling up.

      -What are the types of sniping?
      * Rage sniping - when a player on a party looses in a fair game they will start sniping the other team for “revenge” this makes it basically impossible to play squads as they auto snipe you (as soon as you queue in a game the cheater instantly gets into your game.

    • Winrate sniping - if someone is at for example 100% winrate they will get sniped so their winrate is gone

    • Level sniping - if someone is trying to be the first like max level they will get sniped to make it virtually impossible to max first.

    • Anti sniping - when a grinder either parties with a cheater or gets sniped by a cheater on purpose so the grinder cant get looses if theres e.g. another cheater

    Force anti sniping- when a grinder purposely gets cheaters into a another grinders game (for competition) then they get the replay code send it to the HIVE STAFF and gets the other grinder banned for “teaming with cheaters for stat boosting” even though they did nothing wrong.

    • Personal Experiences

    At one point right after S4 released on the weekends it was virtually IMPOSSIBLE to grind as I had over 6 cheaters all constantly sniping me so I couldn’t possibly queue a game without a cheater.

    -How to counter snipers (before a fix is rolled out)

  • Max gens as fast as you can

  • Get fireballs bow and poison potions

  • Report them

  • After some time they will get kicked

Im a sniper… Not with cheats but if your a high level or someone with impressive stats I’m targeting you and I wont stop til your out.

Nowadays this is a issue most of the players experienced. As I know especially targeting a player / players are aganist the rules , so you should be able to report them . However , most of the time the reporting reason list does not include many things , and probably in game reporting doesn’t work . I didn’t experience it myself but I saw snipers talking about the people they are going to snipe . So most of the time it’s especially targeting most than random .

This post doesn’t suggest anything. Hive is already banning players for sniping and teaming with cheaters

Yeah, I think targeting specific players in general isn’t allowed. Not that it stops a lot of people though, I’ve seen a lot of targeting in games like BW…

but I cant go after noobs when theres a level 80+ on the loose.

Suggesting to prevent snipers? Like there shoulnd’t be any snipers anyway

I’m kind of a sniper (but no cheats) to get sweats out, like I neutralize the threat, or I re-que if I see a high lvl. I try to give noobs a chance.

YES, this is what im saying! you need to take out the high levels first! Its not cheatings, its smart!

It is a problem but i cant see a real way to solve this issue. Ive played tons of games of skywars (im level 91) and i get targeted just because of my level. No one can really do anything about it.

Targeting genuinely baffles me sometimes. In a game like SW, I would be running away from the high level, not picking a fight lol. :’>

You didn’t suggest anything tho. You just described the problem. How exactly should the snipers be stopped, what should be different?

As a level 137 in bedwars, I get targeted alot but “im taking their flaws, breaking their j–ws, and pull a bane on them ask”"you think your in charge?”- I really wanted to use that, anyway.. Target or be targeted” is my motto

Me to but I also re-queue a lot too

I also get targeted bc I’m lvl 200 and it takes forever to queue bc all the wimps are re-queuing
