I made a post about a /report command and it got 10 votes, maybe also a anti cheat system which would report someone if you go too high in any game or get a under 20 second win in SG or DR. The staff could see pop ups in a staff only chat and follow them in game to see if they are hacking.
The staff team are already working on improving the anti-cheat as well as implementing a ‘/report’ system in-game to make it easier for players to report cheaters. If you haven’t already, and are over the age of 13, you should join the official Hive Discord server (discord.gg/hive) where you can report people in the #bedrock-ingame-reporting channel.
Hive is just very forgiving
Report system would backfire, hive needs more staff atm
I feel like the games would just be better if there were less hackers!
Stepping in here to clear some things up.
This suggestion isn’t particularly helpful, obviously we want to improve our anti-cheat, we’re literally in the process of bringing someone on in order to focus on anti-cheat development. An in-game report system is also something that has already been suggested.
In regards to the comments about us being lenient towards rulebreakers, this is not the case. If you report someone to us for breaking the rules - and there is sufficient evidence - we will of course deal with them appropriately.
This is a policy we have on both of our networks - we ban accounts, not people. Exceptions are obviously made to this in certain cirumstances, and our staff are more than capable of using their discretion to deem when this is necessary. To be clear though, we certainly wouldn’t allow someone to use multiple accounts to break our rules.
I saw the statement from kaiurii as it was typed lol, I think it was me discussing hacking with some other dude in the discord (he brought up using an alt as he was banned for crossteaming) . It was a short statemnet that could easily be loopholed (with this rule I could use like infiniteaura on an alt and not have my main affected at all lol). However this doesn’t mean that that would always be the rule as we sometimes type stuff out of context so it could be perceived wrong
Ok I was unaware that the staff team were currently working on this. I did know that an in-game reporting system has been suggested before though, I just wanted to reinforce that idea. Could you close/ delete this thread?
What are the ban sentences anyway? I was playing with someone in my party who was hacking and I reported them. 10 minutes later they said they were banned for 2 weeks. That seems pretty light to me and you shouldn’t care about the player base that decides to hack on your server. Is it a 2 strikes and your out kind of deal? Thanks.
I think it should be a month lol, but I once got false banned from a server for a month and that sucked, so I don’t think hive wants to false ban
