The Bridge block amount

As you all know on the bridge you get 64 blocks total and restocks after each goal. Instead why not just have 16 total instead of 64. From a mobile players pov 64 is far too many and as of recently I have been getting too many pc/console players on solos when platform based is a thing but doesn’t really work now. I have had to constantly do /q bridge to get away from them. Perhaps 16 would be enough for bridge?

Welcome to the forums
Good idea, it would also prevent People from Building bridges from a base to another Which is really annoying

Would also stop heavy sweats high block trapping others

16 sounds excessive, maybe 32?
I know im a PC player, but side bridges also have strategy to them, often times giving the enrmy a goal in hopes your bridge is more efficient

Id say 32.

Less blocks would make it far easier to handle. 64 after each score would be utter carnage and could make others rage quit or just to re queue which I have to do on a daily basis since I’m just a mobile player until I max. Half way through lvl 17 as of now.

32 could still be used excessively to trap innocent mobile players yk? I understand your pov too

i dont have much experience with the bridge but now that i thought about it it could destroy some tactics like blocking off the hole

Exactly my point too. I’ve had a few players do that to me in the past plainly because I was beating them at 2-0 to me

I’d love to see this trialed!

Blocks are far too excessive and annoying, I’d love to see actual fights happen instead of who can make it there faster. Less blocks in my opinion will make the game more skillful and satisfying to play.

Block spamming, building a defensive wall, making bridges off to the side and leaping past any possible defenses, isn’t that fun. Having limited blocks well make them more important on how you use them, more skillful. While making it less skillful at the same time, for more players to pick up the game. How does that work? No idea, but it does.

The apple kit wouldn’t be an awful choice to pick anymore

no.

as a bridge sweat, I mainly rely on leaping mid-air and spamming blocks. I use MORE THAN 16, which makes this change a no for me.

and I am level 20

My point exactly

To start, you put this on the hive forums, and accepted a lot of peoples opinions. Your supposed to accept everyones even if yoy dont like it. No reason to be mean about it to other people who disagree…
Also, it is still very easy to jump to the side of the bridge and leap back on much father behind the enemy, which would not change sweats…
Plus, this would also mean worse players could not defend their bases, which would mean sweats could still win easier. In fact, I think this change could be negative :sob:
ANOTHER PLUS, considering they can click so fast that blocks are a problem, that would 95% of the time mean that they could beat you in a fight. It just slows down grinders and imo makes it less fun.
If you wanted to stop sweats, the Hive would have to find a way to prevent leap usage or nerf it, which would cause a lot of hate if they tried to nerf/delete the leap. Snowballs already counter it, so your change is unnecessary imo.
Hope that makes sense

I would love to agree with you, but its flawed.

That’s not how it works. We can take a look at an example Hive has done by the changes from Treasurewars to Bedwars. Treasure was super easy to rush, while Bedwars slowed that down. The feedback at the beginning hated it(aka the sweats), while the average player liked it, and over time the sweats adapted, like they will here. Sweats don’t like changes, but they love adopting to new strategies. Are you catching my drift here? Sweats and regular players would benefit from a change like this. Do I think 16 is too little, yes, 32 would be better.

Absolutely, disagreements and civil discussions leads to the best outcome of two worlds.

Honestly, @Macaloons165, that was a bit rude. Us sweats don’t “ruin” the game. Also, you need a lesson on bridge players and hive sweats.

1: The “offensive” play style is very popular. Why take a fight when you don’t have to? That’s why that exists.

2: Sweats are trying their best to grind, and hence, they may annoy some people when they play casually. (even though my casual self sweats like crazy :flushed:)

@Macaloons165 read this note

Sweats are very kind-hearted (usually). So why be rude to them? Besides, the forums want you to be respectful, too.

It does slow down grinders, bedwars is an entire different game than treasure wars, plus you started talking about adapting to new strategy which is kinda off topic to what i said lol. Fyi i was talking about it takes longer :joy:
Also I said IMO not everyones opinion rip :skull:

While 32 might be interesting, I would not like to see it and I’m worried about the bridge. It is one of the least played games on the hive and any controversial change could easily vault my first maxed out game and one of my favourites. They should do a vote first or test it like MobGame.

You can do a mini vote here

  • Keep it at 64 blocks
  • A bit less (48)
  • In the middle (32)
  • What this forum post was made for! (16)
  • NONE!!! >:)

I am a mobile player and I disagree with your idea. It is a good idea for the old controls which I used to use, but there is an option to switch controls on mobile. If you change controls to the new one with the buttons for everything, you can spam blocks in the bridge. So just do the new controls and then this won’t be a problem.
