Hey! So a few days ago I played Hive with one of my friends, a completely new player to the server, and we had a great time!
But one thing- he didn’t actually know half the games - I had to tell him that BlockDrop was TNTRun - that Gravity was a Dropper race.
What I am suggesting is that we add a bold text bubble on top of each game with less known names to show what the more commonly used name is. It could also say “this game is similar to…”
This would help new players find these games appealing, as in the case of my friend, he went for the games he knew what they were first as the familiar image was more appealing.
List Of Texts:
• BlockDrop = TNT Run
• Gravity = A Dropper Race
• GroundWars = Turf Wars
• BlockParty = Stand on Colour
• Parkour Worlds = Non-Competitive Parkour
• Ghost Hunt = Laser Tag
• Just Build = Build Battle
Thanks for reading my suggestion!
fair point, hive always adds a wierd twist to the names (and games), treasure was replaced because new players didn’t know it was bedwars

I see what you mean, but why can’t they just look at the description of the games, as the hive likes to put there own twists in Minecraft’s most popular games, but don’t get me wrong I like this idea. What if there was a world(similar to the Minecraft tutorial world) that would show all the hive is about, from the custom commands, like /cs and /report, and would descript all the games? Anyways, voted!

But this is what makes hive iconic anyways it describes it in the compass

I get what you mean but if your a new player your probably going to look at the cool looking statues before you look at the compass in your inventory.

I think a tutorial world would work really well, and I don’t think it would be too hard to make either, but it isn’t what this topic is about.
If you want to make a topic on it though please do so! I’d definetly vote on it.

I do agree, however I feel like we dont need to it be right above the npcs usernames, but implementing it in such a way where when you log in for the first time you get a pop up or something explaining what every game is would be cool, since we only have descriptions in the compass menu
