Teammate should confirm whether to clear build/floor or not

Earlier today, the Hive added the ability to clear builds and floors from plot settings. However for duels, it just allows for easy griefing since you only need one person to clear the build.

To fix this, the teammate needs to confirm whether to clear the build/floor or not from a yes or not prompt.

So far, a teammate could simply just use “Clear Build” even if the other teammate doesn’t want to clear the build
So to combat this issue, I suggest a command exclusive to Build Battle just like /floor

I called this command
/c or /confirm
When a teammate clicks on Clear Build, it sends a message to the other teammate / all teammates (If more than 2) notifying a teammate wants to clear the build just like how sending a party invite notifies the invited player.
Then teammate must do the command to allow the request of clearing the build
And if theres 3 or more players in the team (Via customs) then all other teammates must also use the command to clear a build

In case of the teammate building inappropriately, and not using the command to prevent clearing it

  • The chances of that happening are alot more slim unlike those who use “Clear Build”
  • Build Battle’s moderation system is improved, so it shouldn’t be much of an issue
  • If none of these convince you, then just do /hub… Even Build Battle occasionally drops the message “Teammate building inappropriately? Use /hub and try Solo!”

So yeah,
I’m suggesting this as someone who has been in Just Build / Build in the beginning, and as the current #3 in All-Time in Build Battle currently
If anyone has questions about this, I will try my best to respond with the best of my current knowledge when I come back to this suggestion

It should also be some sort of hotbar item.

I could see how this is useful if your teammate was building something inapropriate and didn’t want to get banned.

Someone else said your teammate can just manually grief too so I don’t see enough of a difference.

You make a good point, however if someone builds inappropriately it specifically says in an automated chat message that if your teammate is doing such, you just need to /hub and queue a new game. Bad system, but it’s what we have.
Yes, you can also manually grief, but it’s way easier to just clear the plot. Your teammate can fully clear it at the very last second and then just leave. It requires no actual confrontation and is really easy to do. It’s just far more destructive, players are going to want to do it less if they think their teammate can actually put up a fight.
It’s also important to note custom servers. I for example often get a whole bunch of people in my team in a build battle cs, and if someone griefs I can just kick them and fix it. With this update, I can no longer control griefing, if they clear the build its gone and there’s no way to undo. When someone runs around spamming lava or breaking the build it usually takes less than a few seconds to fix after kicking them.

I think that’s the risk you’re taking for playing randoms, the best way to stop this is play solos

I think it should only clear things placed by you, so at least if they clear it’s only their build

I don’t know if this is added now but someone did this to me a while ago and J forgot about this post.
Anyway; voted and bump
