Team Upgrade Upgrades

Literally like all the team upgrades suck so I’m fixing them :sob:

Regeneration: Perfect 10/10 no changes :joy:

Faster Respawn: Decrease the price to 1 emerald since it’s horrible of a team upgrade right now like oh no i fell and my bed is gone if i had faster respawn i could be chased and killed 2s earlier :skull:

Strike it Lucky: Make it not luck based since Bedwars + luck = Badwars… :angry: Maybe if it was every 100 generations of loot (iron, gold, diamond combined) which is about every 40 iron on a max gen.

Starting Sword: lower the price to 25 since no one even uses it plus it only really helps if you have a big bed defense which can EASILY be broken by fireballs therefore rendering this useless. I don’t even think we need this powerup but wooden sword free so W :joy:

Enemy Alarm: make it instead warn you how close the nearest enemy is to your base with a 50 block radius, and give 5s of mining fatigue when the first person comes within 10 (one time mining fatigue) and make it 15 gold. :sweat_smile:

Luck of the Draw: instead of luck make it respawn a demoted sword variant and half your resources rounded down to the nearest 1 (emeralds, iron, gold, diamonds). If your sword is wooden, the sword will not respawn when you die unless you have starting sword. :diamond_with_a_dot:

Mining Speed: lower the price since no one wants to spend TWENTY DIAMONDS for more speed when breaking beds when at that point in game the beds are breaking in 5 minutes :joy: :sob: maybe like 10-15 diamonds?

Spawn Protection: increase the time to 10s of protection and give you 5s of protection when your bed breaks (to all forms of damage) incase you are in a fight when your bed breaks. Also, add “spawn immunity” which lasts 3 seconds and makes it so you cant be damaged by the enemy, unless you use a sword. :joy: imagine if someone lost to that…

Spawn protection: Protection for 10 seconds is absolutely brutal and too much time plus most people would just start punching enemies after they respawn removing the protection.

Luck of the draw: No why would you want this, this means if you have a wood sword upgrade and luck of the draw at the same time, then you wouldn’t have a sword when you respawn. This isn’t good as luck of the draw is luck based item recovery and having this wont be useful at all.

Mining Speed: I completely agree with you, it’s way to expensive and I don’t recall a single time I’ve used it during an actual game other than a cs.

Enemy Alarm: The mining fatigue is too OP, maybe a separate one for it because rushing in and blocking in would be pretty difficult and you’d have to wait 5 seconds for the mining fatigue to wear off whilst the opponents are digging to you trying to kill you.

Starting Sword: Agreed, 25 gold seems like a much better price.

Strike it lucky: Your suggestion might be a little too slow how about every 20 pieces of iron because 40 is too much.

Faster respawn: Agreed one emerald seems better.

Regeneration: Perfect

I do think the upgrades need an upgrade; I personally have bought like two whole upgrades in my life, and that was only for a quest. (I’m exaggerating)

The spawn protection should definitely not be increased. I would be ok with the price being lowered.

Luck of the draw should allow you to keep whatever item is in your main hand.

Haste should cost more like 5 diamonds or less.

Strike it lucky should just be removed.

I think starting sword is a useless one; ender chests are always near your spawn, and spawn protection allows you enough time to access your chest. Most people can just get a sword and put it in the chest right after their first rush so it’s ready to go if they die with someone at their base. The other thing is you could put a diamond or iron sword in the chest, which is better than wood, if you don’t know. Just remove this upgrade

There have been a few replies, so I would like to give my thoughts on all of them. In a way, this is kind of a bump. XD

This sounds weird, but that’s the point. The idea of such a big time is to save the persons life and give them a second chance, since now with the upgrade you get spawn trapped harder and it could be a savior for worse players. Also, it’s price is still decently expensive, so this could be like regeneration but for beginners.

I don’t think you read is right, but you DO get the wooden sword upon death, unless it was previously a stone sword. SO, if it was from the upgrade, you would still get it. :sweat_smile:

I guess this could promote the use of the fatigue totem? But it’s also only a one time use and if you kill the enemy before then the mining fatigue will wear off. It wouldn’t be too bad IMO.

I guess we could agree on 30 maybe? I was thinking of doing 50 in the post but I guess this is fair. It’s just that your not MEANT to be rich from your base, your meant to be rich from the EMERALDS at middle. :smile:
Me and my friend literally proved how OP it was when we (after getting 9 ems to buy upg and max gen) proceeded to EACH BUY DIAMOND ARMOR AND HAVE EXTRA EMERALDS, WIN, AND LOSE ONE IN THE PROCESS (my friend was being stupid) WITHOUT LEAVING BASE EVER AGAIN. It’s a pretty crazy OP upgrade for campers.

Wow I guess everyone just loves luck. The thing I don’t like is Bedwars (personally) is meant to be a skill and strategic game, unlike Skywars, which is mostly skill and luck. They both have different styles, and me personally I’m one of the people AGAINST luck upgrades in Bedwars. I just don’t like how people can win on LUCK. :sob: :skull: :rage_1_:

That’s interesting. Most people don’t like this. I assume a big factor of it is that if I’m not mistaken, your good AND better than me, which is pretty good for Bedrock players. Anyways, I think this idea works more for beginners. which may be why all of you don’t seem to like it. Could just be me though.

Maybe it could keep that + the slots to the sides? That way you still get a few items back but it’s strategic instead of luck, Plus, you can always switch inventory slots when your dying. I guess this could also be bad sometimes, since you could always respawn with your diamond sword and infinite pearls, but this seems cool. Just needs to be changed a bit. :sweat_smile:

5 Might be excessive, I would say 10 since that’s in between 5 and 15 and you can’t just immediately get it off the bat.

I wouldn’t exactly REMOVE starting sword, it just needs a price change or a buff to save it. No clue how, but removing it is excessive personally. :skull:

Overall, I think you all have some interesting thoughts on this. Thanks for adding your perspective on these upgrades! It may help a lot if I ever plan to make another team upgrade thing. :sweat_smile:

I believe I speak on the behalf of the majority of players when I say luck should be eradicated where it’s reasonable to do so. This, however, is too much. All you have to do is keep your valuables in three adjacent slots, then hotkey to the slot in between before death, which is extremely easy. This would basically enable keep inventory. If one went middle with a sword and blocks and picked up the emeralds, then everyone else would have no hope of getting the emeralds, even if they killed said player. You could even condescend to intentionally die, once you got emeralds and that would be a quick, guaranteed, and overpowered way to get emeralds safely to your base excessively quickly.

It costs five iron to put a stone sword in your ender chest, or often you get it free from your first rush. This basically acts as an extremely cheap version of getting a starting sword that’s even better than the normal wooden one. Until the starting sword gets changed to be stone and/or the price gets lowered to five or fewer gold ingots, I won’t buy this upgrade.

I personally almost never buy upgrades, so they have to be cheap or really good to ever be worth changing my routine. It’s way better to buy ender pearls, bows, golden apples, and sword and armour upgrades. This applies to all the upgrades, not just this one.

Yes, according to all the statistics I looked at, I am better than you, but I don’t know why that’s relevant. The spawn protection is enough to grab a sword from the ender chest or even buy one; why would you need more than that? If I find myself stuck at my base and under geared, I can use my bed as a distraction, as well as spawn protection, and run. I personally have no trouble outrunning players when I have such a head start, but I do acknowledge not everyone is as good at parkour and movement. Spawn protection won’t really help if you can’t outrun your enemy though.

I don’t think luck in bedwars is good, BUT this only upgrade I am fine with as it is in the name :+1:
