tap to use items no longer work if you aren’t hitting a block on mobile touch classic controls (dpad + tap the screen to interact)
This includes:
- hub thingies (compass for games, friends list item, etc)
- leaps in deathrun
- vaults in drop, party
- powerups in party
- throwables in murder mystery
- the skip/redo things in gravity
With the 1.20.10 update I noticed when I tapped the screen and it wasn’t a block I don’t get the “hit” sound anymore, maybe this has something to do with it? (previously when the screen was tapped a “hit” sound would occur unless one was tapping on a solid block in which case it didn’t
I wonder if zeqa is having this same problem?
(Another mobile player, RainbowJND, told me it’s been broken for her since around 1.9 but I don’t have any evidence to show for that and its been working fine for me up until 1.20.10
Side note, I got to enjoy having tap-to-leap in deathrun for less than a week 
(it still works if u hit the ground but thats difficult in a lot of situations)
