With that out of the way, I present you:
Magicians
Magicians is a game that can be played in Solos, Duos, Trios, or Squads, You spawn in a “layered cake” style map at the lowest level, with more powerful gear being placed higher and higher, which you can see in the diagram below. It is a Survival Games style competition where you gather resources and battle other players to be the last person standing.
The exact sizes of the layers (including areas that are covered by other layers) are the following:
- Bottom Layer: 100 Block Diameter
- Middle Layer: 50 Block Diameter
- Top Layer: 20 Block Diameter
The height difference between the layers is the following:
- Bottom To Middle: 7 blocks
- Middle To Top: 15 blocks
24 players will be lined around the inner area of the bottom layer, armed with a wooden sword, wooden pickaxe, wooden axe, and wooden shovel. and when the game starts, there will be a 30 second grace period, and the higher layers will be blocked off. Once the grace period is over, the borders will be removed and players will be able to fight.
But how do you gather resources anyway?
Enchanting
Around the map, various items and mobs will be placed which you can mine and kill for various items. These items by themselves aren’t very useful, but when enchanted, they become spells and materials, which can be used in combat.
Items can be enchanted at enchantment tables, which can be found in various locations around the map. There are 24 on the lowest level, 6 on the middle level, and one on the highest.
Well what’s the difference between an enchantment table at the top and one at the bottom? Well, each layer consists of enchantment tables with a specific level. There are three levels of enchantment table:
- Basic: Green Enchant Table
- Advanced: Yellow Enchant Table
- Expert: Red Enchant Table
There is also a different amount of enchantment tables on every level. Here are the numbers:
- Basic: 24 Enchant Tables on the edges of the map
- Advanced: 6 Enchant Tables at the base of the top level
- Expert: 1 Enchant Table
An enchantment table can enchant items that are compatible with it and lower level enchantment tables. For example, an Advanced enchantment table can enchant advanced items and basic items, but not expert items.
The level of the enchantment can be seen on the item you are enchanting:
- Basic: Green Text
- Advanced: Yellow Text
- Expert: Red Text
For example, a rabbit’s foot (which I will go into more detail about later) will give you access to a basic level enchant, so it can be enchanted on basic, advanced and expert enchantment tables.
To enchant an item, simply hold it and punch an enchantment table that is compatible with the item you are enchanting. It will then start an enchantment timer, once it ends, punch the enchantment table again to receive the newly enchanted item. Here are the timers for every level of enchantment:
- Basic: 1 second
- Advanced: 3 seconds
- Expert: 10 seconds
Now I understand that that was a lot, so the TL;DR here is that there are 3 levels of enchant table, each one giving you more powerful items but also being riskier to use due to less movement space, less abundance, and longer enchant times.
Next, lets take a look at some of the most important spells in the game:
