Stop killing your server

You are killing your server by only updating 1 or 2 games, this is not how you keep a server alive. Try consistently adding actual content updates to all of the mini games. There are plenty of amazing ideas in the forms and on your server, you just need to pay attention and listen to your community.

Edit: I criticize because i care

voted bc its helix, otherwise i disagree

Updates are big and costly, and its a free server to use. While updates are nice and all its not like I’ll stop just bc they don’t update (im sure other people will though). I do want dr to get some love, but I won’t quit hive just because it doesnt. Hive just wants to please the most number of people and that happens to be the pvp community mostly so they update pvp games (not sg, rip sg).

However, I can see why your opinion is objectively correct and why im just a bit quirky.

Firstly, Hive has clearly changed its views on the comunity, at this point it feels like we’re just open wallets to them so cost really shouldnt be an issue.

Second, I think it’s fair to focus on the PvP community, but they cant just forget about all the other mini games and the people who have spent literal months and even years worth of time playing the games they enjoy. If the pvp games die out what happens next, they wont have a loyal following like they used to on the other games because they didnt pay attention to them. This is, in my opinion, a self destructive cycle that will ultimately lead to hives death

I hope cube craft makes an mm gamemode

I accept bit of your suggestion but they’re took awhile to make good quality of contents, But they can focus some of updates haven’t released yet like (H&S, Deathrun and Just Build), This gamemodes waiting new update for Upgrade level caps, New Maps and unlockable items. Hive Builder Staff Team took ages to make new maps before final product released. btw i think they focusing on Bug reports and Anti-Cheat System Improvements. That’s reason why the hive staff working so hard at contents need to be perfect condition instead of glitches & bugs appeared.

Anyways ima go back to sleep.

Hey there

Quantity (many updates) does not equal quality (good updates with lots of content). To say that The Hive is dying and that the community members are just “open wallets” is not true…

  1. The number of players is going down, yes, but that’s not due to “missing updates” (as you can also see other servers having a lower player count), but because more people have played in the last 2 years due to the global lockdown. Not everyone plays Minecraft all day
  2. The Hive offers 11 game modes and many features for free, only extras like cosmetics (costumes, pets, bundles), ranks (Hive+) or the Replay Cinema Pass have to be paid extra.

Don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t mean that we don’t need updates, but the only thing “we really need” are updates that bring the rather old games from 2018 - 2020 to today’s level of quality.

For example UI updates. Bridge and CTF have UI elements displayed in the top right corner similar to the (somewhat) new friend notifications (e.g. bridge goals and ctf flag captures). These would be great to have in other games as well, some ideas are below.

  • When the sheriff dies in Murder Mystery
  • When a treasure is destroyed in Treasure Wars
  • When passing a checkpoint in DeathRun
  • and more…

And new hotbar items…

  • map vote, locker, booster and leave game items in game lobbies
  • DeathRun Leap, Death trap items and the item to change other players size
  • and more…

But all in all the quality of the server is on a very high level and The Hive definitely listens very well to community feedback, we simply cannot implement every single idea and it requires more than /update server.

Bruh how are you this niave.

It takes time to update games, making the cosmetics, new mechanics and making sure everything runs smoothly takes time.

Hive naturally will want to update games that most people play, to please their community and to gain the most money.

At the end of the day, hive is a business, and many people working for the hive are relient on their income.

They cant add an update every day it takes months or even years for a big update and they are adding mounts and block party

They’re already making treasure wars seasons.

I think if what you’re getting at is some smaller updates every month you’re on the right track, of course they are currently doing that but mostly just got arcade games since they’re brand new. One system I can think of that could work is if they had one team who had worked smaller updates every month and another which exclusively worked on bigger updates every 6-12 months. This may be what’s in place idk I don’t work for them
