Hello!
I propose to introduce leather armor at the beginning of the game, which cannot be removed. It will be possible to put on other types of armor. This is not like the mechanics used in Hypixel, where the helmet and chest plate remain in the leather armor of the team color, and the pants and boots are replaced.
Here’s how I imagine this mechanic: after appearing on the island, you are automatically put on vanilla leather armor. For originality, it will not be painted in the color of your team, as is done on other servers. Like other types of armor, it will have an automatic “Axis” trim in the color of your team. I was not lazy and created an “Axis” trim in vanilla Minecraft for each type of armor that is on the server, and for each team color (photo below).
How will the mechanics of non-removable leather armor work? After buying armor, it is automatically put on you, and the leather disappears, as if it was never there. But if you remove any element of your new armor, a leather version of that element will automatically be equipped in its place. And vice versa, if you remove, say, boots from your new armor, leather boots will immediately appear in their place.
What is the advantage of this idea? Firstly, it is original: to use non-removable leather armor that disappears after the player equips another type of armor. If you remove any element, a leather replacement will immediately appear in its place. I have never seen this before. Also, I have not seen on other servers where the trim is used as a distinctive feature. At the same time, the trim applies to all elements of the armor, which allows you to use the entire set, and not just the chest plate and helmet, as on Hypixel. Secondly, this change only adds distinctive features for the armor and the game, which should only embellish the gameplay, and not change it. Thirdly, this innovation will help you and your team stand out to avoid confusion.

This can be easily fixed by setting the armor to 0 defense. However, in my opinion, it is not worth doing this. The difference in the speed of Bedwars will probably be negligible. So it will be fine.
The nickname is still exactly the same color, but if there are really people who pretend to be impostors, then you can make a special potion that, when used, changes the color of your armor and the color of the nickname to the nearest team color for 1 minute.
I will give you the point that this idea is original, and I haven’t seen any servers with this specific idea. I don’t really think it’s necessary, because of the fact that name tags have the team colour. I think the mechanic of Hypixel should be added over this, which would fix other complaints about the armour system.
This is just my opinion, but I don’t really like how trims look, but I can change this with a texture pack.
Another issue that could arise would be that you could no longer fist fight well at all due to how long it would take to ever kill someone. To fix this it would require the addition of a starting sword, which is something we probably won’t see, for a while at least.
I don’t think I have to explain why this is not a good idea at all and would change the game for the worse. Also, it would still be completely useless in solos. If you want to be an imposter, I think adding invisibility potions would be a way better idea.
Well, the thing is that many players turn off names and tags in the game for some videos, it is better of course to have differences on the armor. Regarding the sword, we have an improvement for emeralds, and if you do not like the fact that now players will have armor at the beginning because of which it will not be possible to hit with fists normally, then here you can set 0 defense and that’s it, thus the armor with identification marks will remain and there will be no point in protection and everyone will be happy.
If this is just a cosmetic addition to the game, I don’t really care a ton since I could just use texture packs for it. But if you turn off name tags that’s completely on you if you don’t know what team is what, and Hive shouldn’t have to add something for this. The huge majority of players and YouTubers have name tags on; so much so, I’ve never even heard of anyone having name tags off.
