Idea:
Have the items of the current build in the inventory during preview, so you can easily start building when the round starts.
Could either have the amount of blocks match the build, or only have 1.

YES. This post is so underrated. I was going to make this kind of post. I’m out here having to memorize and figure out why the sun is the first block I’m supposed to place when I can’t even reach it without placing the other 7 blocks in my hotbar first. This is a bump. please Hive we need this. I don’t care how they are organized, as long as you can see them beforehand.
And is it just me or when your flying and you touch the ground you stop flying, this not the case for vanilla Minecraft you keep flying after you touch the ground.
It is indeed the case in vanilla. But whether it is or not is irrelevant.
We need this, I sometimes lose on builds like pencil only because I can’t remember what slot the blocks are in.
That one is in order though!! 
There’s definitely some that need this though. That sword in the ground, excalibur or whatever it’s named, has the worst order I’ve ever seen. I’d imagine adding this would be a lot simpler than updating each of the 160 builds to have the block orders better. As well as make it easier to add more without the need of custom configuring each one with a good layout.
The street one is also really unorganized, I usually use my scrollwheel instead of hotkeys on the mixed up ones.
also with pencil I always expect it to be not in order so that’s my excuse
