Idea:
Snowballs which would deal no knockback, but instead apply an effect to the target player.
More information:
Making them rare with a limited stack size might be good for balancing
Examples : Only two I can think of are slowness snowball (mentioned on discord) and levitation snowball (Make them take some fall damage!)
I welcome any other ideas for this in the replies!

Weakness could also work for this. (-1 damage for example)
Personally I’m against tick damage snowballs (fire, poison) as I feel it would be too op.
Levitation would cause problems.

instead of levitation make it give slow falling or smth, levitation would be an instant kill if ur any good at all bc bow + fall damage + u can hit them while theyre floating up and they wouldn’t be able to reach u

Yeah I just gave a random idea. Fire would not be good.
I actually really like this idea but I feel like removing the knockback makes it harder to get combos and I love hitting combos, but mainly I think instead of that there should be separate snowballs that have different effects throughout the game like, the effect changes and there’s like a notification. For example, in the first minute or two there’s poison and then it’ll change to weakness and so but these potions shouldn’t have too long of a duration. Voted!!!
It wouldn’t replace current snowballs, it would be a new item with it applying an effect instead of knockback. It could be a weekly item where the effect changes each week.

Not to replace but a separate one so basically have both but the special effect one would have a different texture. A weekly item sounds good.
Perhaps it could be an egg texture instead of snowballs as they kinda work the same in these gamemodes. I prefer how snowballs look though
