Hey! I am suggesting a skip checkpoint item for Parkour Worlds.
This item would appear after you have died 8+ times on a single checkpoint, and would work and look just like the item in gravity, but for checkpoints.
Some players across different devices and skill levels may struggle… alot with the parkour. And I am assuming with more worlds it will get harder. Skipping the checkpoint would not give you the rewards from the checkpoint, don’t worry.
In order to make this feature not stupidly OP, if you skip a checkpoint on a parkour your time wouldn’t count for that run. It would also indicate next to the name of the parkour that on your previous run you skipped it. (Only if no legitimate completions have been made).
Thanks for reading my suggestion!
I think this shouldn’t be in place for the harder parkours… you could win Dragon’s Dare really quickly…
BUT you wouldnt get the stars, which is what will actually matter. maybe the time doesnt go on leaderboards if you use this item at all in the run?

This would be extremely broken. Dying in Parkour Worlds is somehow easier than it is for me to get killed in SkyWars. You can just jump into water, or out of bounds really quickly, sometimes more than twice a second in certain places, and skip all the checkpoints. That would result in an ungodly fast time.

To combat this you could add extra time for each skip, e.g. +25s for a skip

Maybe just make the time not count, or the run not do anything. This allows players that just want to get past a level to do it while it doesn’t affect competitive players

If you can skip checkpoints, what’s the point in doing the parkour at all (apart from the stars but those are irrelevant rn)
What if there was an indication that you used a skip on the parkours’ name, so you can easily go back and see which ones you need to re-try and complete

Maybe a pause so you can continue later

This would be incredibly unbalanced, and would take away the feeling of accomplishment for people after completing a hard area. This would also make many people unhappy due to their achievements of time/completion being made less special. (think dragons dare). Overall, this would not be a good item to add to the game as it would cause people to be even more unhappy with hive in general.

Negating the run’s time would probably a skip being broken.
As for the feeling of accomplishment- skipping would be optional- you know exactly what your doing by skipping that checkpoint. It also may bring a new sense of relief, saying that if you have been stuck you have probaby felt a little frustrated or annoyed with the parkour.
I think an indication you used a skip would be cool, I’ll add it to the post. Thanks.
