Idea:
Make a showcase room in the main hub where everyone can display multiple cosmetics they own!
More information:
The showcase room would contain several armor stands. Players can click on them and choose what to display there, or leave them empty. Armor stands will always stay in the same positions (so Hive doesn’t need to store any coordinates, just the types of cosmetics and the armor stand state)
Armor stand settings
- Player can choose if an armor stand is active or not (inactive stands won’t appear).
- Player can choose the armor stand pose.
Cosmetics
There would be 3 types of cosmetic display modes:
- Backbling + Hat
- Costume + Hubtitle
- Pets
Restrictions
- Players cannot display the same cosmetic twice or display a variant (same cosmetic but different color).
- Players cannot display cosmetics they don’t own.
- Players can make their display room private, public, or friends-only.nly
How would it work?
The display room would be located somewhere in the hub (or there could be multiple rooms). It would work similarly to the bed preview in the BedWars minihub.
By default, players would see their own display room, but they could also view display rooms of friends, search by nickname, or view rooms of players currently in the hub (if it is public)
When clicking an armor stand, a menu would pop up where the player chooses:
– if the stand is active,
– which type of cosmetic display mode they want,
– which cosmetic to put there.
Basically: click → active → costumes&titles → choose costume → choose title.
This allows players to display all their favorite pets, only LTM costumes, only hubtitles, or any mix they want.
(It would look similar to the screenshot, except instead of regular armor it would show Hive cosmetics. There could be more armor stands (maybe 9), arranged in a nicer shape like a half-circle.)
Presets:
Each armor stand is a preset.
For example, a player activates 4 armor stands and puts their favorite backbling + hat combos there. If they want to wear the same combo, they can click the stand and select “Equip”.
Players can also equip presets from other people’s display rooms, but only if they own those cosmetics.
Why have this?
-
Makes the hub more interesting with more things to do.
-
Lets players show their full cosmetic collection instead of just one item.
-
Makes switching between favorite cosmetics faster.
-
Adds a very cool social feature!
Price:
Ideally free for everyone.
But if needed, Hive could make 5 armor stands free for all players, with the option to buy more slots up to 9
