IP Banning is not a good idea. Some ISPs tend to use CGNATs (Carrier Grade Network Address Translators) that allows different customers to use the same IP Address

i think this is a good idea. it would be a little complicated. if they are encouraged to hack, they might get used to it and do it after the segregation, then when they get banned, they’ll create an alt.
I’d rather not have valuable server space given to hackers. The point of banning them is to punish them for breaking the rules absurdly or repeatedly. Letting them have fun by playing with other hackers let’s them have fun playing on the Hive when they shouldn’t be. And if they don’t want to play in purgatory, they’ll create an alt anyways since it’s free.
If they are hacking they become a minority for 30 days, where hacking is acceptable, and the only way to win is to hack. This is a terrible idea and like why do we need to segregate players and not just ban them for their actions so they learn a lesson. Also this would require twice as many servers on all 4 regions, not something I think hive needs to run.
AB Testing Experiment - For Anticheat Improvements

They should lol. The anticheat is on but they will not get banned nor kicked. The anticheat will just adjust its settings for that specific player. It is for AB Testing purposes.
I just got destroyed too much by hackers in the asia region and I get ripped off too much that I don’t play anymore as often as much. This was a good question though. One day when they make another alt account to hack, the anticheat just learned from the cheating style of that player and the anti cheat should be more accurate as a result of such AB testing.
Anticheats work by detecting packets from hacked clients and some unexpected movements from the players.
Anyways, nobody seems to like to have a better anticheat for the hive. Or they just don’t like the idea of having AB testing to have the anticheat improved. They just want it to be improved using a miracle. This thread will be closed.
Or, how about IP banning? If you haven’t heard of it, it’s where you take the IP of someone and ban it fully. That’s means that the person you’re banning won’t be able to use alts, either.
The only flaw is that the hackers can use VPNs like Nord to bypass it and still be able to play with alts. Although, if hackers want to waste their money just so they can hack, that’s not too bad.
