Rushing should be nerfed

I find it very annoying and somewhat unfair that after collecting 5 gold, people can rush your treasure and constantly keep going back until your treasure is broken, with nearly no consequences.

Rushing all depends on who makes the first move. The first person to rush will likely be ‘speedbridging’ (Literally holding down the place button at the right angle) and be able to get to the treasure and break it, if the opposing team has not covered it all the way.

If you haven’t yet killed the player that is rushing, they are either going to break your treasure, or kill you then break your treasure. This situation is much worse if you don’t have a teammate. If you do manage to kill the player, you are likely on low health, witch would make it more difficult to defend the rushing player, especially if that player has a teammate that has been collecting gold for a sword.

If you don’t have a good teammate, or aren’t actively trying to retaliate, then recovering will be very difficult. Not to mention, while you are being attacked, other players can come and simply add on to the constant attacks, and by then half the game is probably dead, and you still haven’t done anything but defend.

To fix this, or at least make it less problematic, you could possibly increase the distance between islands, or make swords more expensive? I haven’t thought of many ways this could be solved, so constructive feedback would be a good thing.

I hope i was able to clearly explain this, as i am a bit tired at the time of typing this.

I don’t know about modes besides solos, but I do understand how it’s annoying that it seems like in the early game, whoever rushes with only 5 wool wins. I don’t think there’s really anything the hive can do about that though, without messing with the balance of the rest of the game.

This would make the problem worse, as you wouldn’t be able to buy a sword to kill the rushers.

Yeah, i realize that now. I think with a bit more brainstorming i might be able to work out something better.

Like this idea but don’t think it would work. The only way this might be possible is if they make the islands for each people base further so 32 blocks won’t reach it (like you suggested). However This would take a lot of effort doing this for every map which you can reach in 32 blocks.

Rushing shouldn’t been nerfed because it is still “skill” based…besides, that would just make the game boring

this does get very annoying, maybe rising the blocks prices would be a good idea?

Arguably, having people rush all the time would make the game more boring for other types of players. New or less experienced players would probably not be to happy that they don’t have chance to properly play the game.

true. some people also like the challenge of killing rushers, myself included. it’s really a spectrum. there really isn’t one right answer here, and that’s a good thing ig.

Welcome, but I disagree. Rushing is a huge competitive part of the game

ah yes i am not as good as other players when the rush me therefore the strategy should be merged entirely instead of me practicing rushing so i am the one to rush instead of the one being rushed

I won’t say anything here other then the fact that this has only happened to me stuff and when this happened I thought “FREE KILLS”

rushing is fun, and you have enough time to protect your treasure with wool if someone rushes you. If you can’t kill/protect, then just keep practicing! :slight_smile:

Eh, what i’ll suggest is this

Make the treasure have some sort of momentary “HP” at the start or have it automatically covered by a smol glass pyramid (so you can still showoff your treasure)

being that, they are still very easy to kill, but very hard to kill it while fighting the defender at the same time. so that rushing, you can only kill treasures after the defender is dead or distracted. not aim at the treasure and just poof it as if the defender is completely irrelevant

Summary : rushing is still a core part of the game. problem is simply that the defender is almost always irrelevant knowing how easy it is to just swoop you and your treasure at once

just gotta say, u have a lot to learn bud. Keep practicing and then you’ll start to realise why rushing is awesome, you’re only lvl 20 in TW as of now and u still have a lot to learn
