TL; DR:
With the recent pre-game lobbies/hubs and micro-hubs being much more related to the actual game, I feel as though that Deathrun’s pre-game lobby just doesn’t make sense. I think a better theme would be “Soul Sand Floating Islands” instead of “Aztec Temple Floating Islands”, as it ties into the whole idea of DEATH!!! This could just be changing the looks of the islands or changing their organization entirely.
My idea is to change it into the concept photos below:
THIS IS JUST A MINIATURE MODEL AND NOT THE ACTUAL SIZE!
The warped planks are bridges. The small island on the right would be the spawn island. The island behind it is the podium island. And finally, the podium to the left would replace the temple with a haunted mansion (The original Luigi’s Mansion Mansion is the main inspiration). Inside would be some parkour and things to explore. The current parkour could stay, but have a new entrance. The stone bottoms could be changed to netherrack as well.
