I’ve noticed that The Hive bans players with bad connections for about a week instead of just kicking them. The problem is, the system doesn’t differentiate between a bad connection and someone using hacks. When you contact support, they usually lift the ban the first time, but later on, they just tell you to wait for the ban to expire and can’t do much more. ( Sometimes they tell you that you might get permanently banned if your connection doesn’t improve!)
A lot of players can’t control their connection due to issues with their ISP, bad weather, or temporary problems. It’s unfair to get banned for something out of your control. I suggest replacing these bans with temporary kicks instead of full bans. This way, players with bad connections don’t ruin the game, but they aren’t permanently banned.
I think this change would make the system more fair while still dealing with lag issues.
