So i’ve recently seen other people with skins i’ve made, while i never gave them out. A friend of mine informed me it’s because of a ‘skin stealer’ software that steals other players skins and capes.
So i would like if hive could work to improve or add a safe-guard against this. I wouldn’t be so angry about others using my skins if they just asked if they could use them. But since they don’t and just steal them, it’s basically plagiarism. I spent countless hours making these skins, so i’m sure anyone could understand why this might be really frustrating.
I would be most grateful for hive to fix this issue, and i would be willing to talk about any other suggestions to help fix this problem if anyone has any. Thank you.
i get paid for making skins for people… they are stealing them for free. its like saying to a store after you steal something there, “isnt it a compliment that people like your wares, and want it?”
i dont think the hive can fix this, even though it is an issue. you can try and not wear as many different ones (have a main, then some for holidays). like dont constantly change you skin if youre worried about it being stolen
the only thing i wish these people could do, is just be decent people and actually ask instead of stealing it. then we wouldn’t have to worry about this, or have to defend against skin thieves. part of the reason i switched from console to pc, was that others wouldn’t wear skins that are exactly like mine, and now these people are ruining it.
