In hive murder mystery, a huge amount of the high level players use murder tool and get away with it. This is considered a form of cheating yet it’s gone under the radar. I think that there should be more features on hive to try prevent this.
For reference; murder tool is a cheat where you can seemlessly see who the murderer is and where they are.
The most effective way of combatting this issue would be an in-game reporting system. This would be quite effective and could prevent alot of users from using murder tool. Murder tool is pretty identifiable, so I believe there wouldn’t be many false bans.
If this addition gets added, it would make murder mystery much more enjoyable for everyone.
If you believe you’ve encountered a player cheating in this way, the best course of action is to join our Discord server and submit a report in the dedicated reporting channel.
When submitting your report, it’s important to include at least one replay ID (ideally multiple), along with detailed information and timestamps for when you believe the rule-breaking occurred.
Reporting via Discord allows you to provide more context, which is especially valuable for these cases, as they tend to be more complex than general cheating or hacking reports.
Exactly, most people who play bedrock are younger and therefore likely don’t have discord. If we could have a website reporting system that would be great.
main problem is this is that a large majority of hive players are either underage or just simply dont have discord. not to mention a big majority do not know how to obtain a replay id.
I completely understand your point. However, as others have mentioned, it’s unlikely that the large majority of players would know what to look for when it comes to this specific cheat. If we added an option for it in the in-game reporting system, we’d likely see a surge in false reports. This would actually make it harder for our team to deal with genuine cases effectively.
That’s why we rely on experienced players to flag these issues. The Discord reporting channel is far more effective for this purpose, as it allows context, replay IDs, and timestamps to be shared, making it a much more powerful tool in tackling this problem.
I’m going to side with @Clqnnn on this one. I know plenty of hive players; at least 90% of my friend list is from experienced hive players. Maybe 70% of them are old enough to have discord. And about 10% of those have discord.
So I still think a website reporting system is a good idea.
Tbh I can already diferentiate cheaters from legits, in skywars or any pvp gamemode i can tell which person is good at the game and whos using 5 block. But some of my friends that play the game cannot tell the difference between legits and cheaters. The soul problem these cheaters arent getting banned is the fact that newer players dont know whos cheating.
