Pre match Hotbar organisation

Basically, if you hate how the game defaulty organises your hotbar in every game, then why not be able to either:

  • Choose slots for items to go into in some sort of settings. For example, for CTF, instead of Sword, Pickaxe, Bow, Blocks, 4x order of buy slots, arrows, I can set it to what I like, which is (due to mouse side buttons) Pickaxe, Bow, Sword, Blocks, (and when bought) TNT, Speed berries, extra x2, arrows. No more panic organisation on short maps like Unearth, now it is done for us.

Or, option 2:

  • Have the game remember the player’s previous hotbar from the last match. This would be easier to implement I assume, and it’s a simple fix for players like me who hate the default organisation in games like a Capture the Flag and Bridge. It’s easy to implement for all games, simple memorisation.

bridge saves your inventory slots, but for games like ctf where you gain items this would be really odd to code and execute. ‘the default organization’ is just whatever order you get the items

It’s been done before so I expect it to not be too hard, or maybe I just expect to much of the developers

Yeah this is needed I reallyy hate moving them before every game and in CTF when you throw an item it reappears in the first inventory slot or second If first is full ect ect and also when you buy stuff you also have to arrange it maybe there could be a / kit command that lets you select where everything goes and for games like CTF you get to choose where specific items go when you buy them.

How can you do that?

idk how exactly they do it but like if you move smth to a different hotbar slot itll stay there for all other rounds until you move it again
