I like to call these people “dumb sherrifs”. Like I am holding a frikin bow and these idiots shoot me like I thought hive players had brain cells. As a lvl 100 mm player, this happened to me atleast 30 times. Make the penalty a gamemode ban for 1-3 hours
Sometimes it is just a mistake, sometimes I think people are holding wood sword. It is annoying tho, but mostly it’s new player who don’t understand the game that well.

I agree that it’s annoying but a 1 hour ban is unreasonable for a simple mistake. Oka, so it’s annoying. There’s duplicate skins sometimes and I’m sure if you’re a level 100 you’ve done it before.

I agree with Cactus, I’ve definitely done it before without meaning to and also sometimes an innocent will run in the way while you’re trying to shoot the murd which would make this very frustrating

Yes i did but thats to innocents who werent holding a bow coz the murderer would sometimes not kill, But if 1 hour is too much then 15-20 mins should do.
There’s an ingame penalty already - death. Beyond that, punishing small mistakes in a large way isn’t a great idea imo.
If someone is doing this to u across multiple games, grab each of the replays and report them for targeting in the disc. Unfortunately, people will target sweats while on alts by shooting them ingame and while I’d love a workaround for this idk how they could implement it. While dying when u get shot by an inno as an inno is annoying, itd be worse if it didn’t kill - you def don’t want people to just stand in front of the sheriff trying to get shot so that they can grab the hat.
All in all, a solution that stops people from targeting while not incentivizing getting shot would be great, I can’t think of any tho. If I missed smth, lmk

I disagree for a total ban for like 1-3 hours, but maybe if it keeps happening with the same player doing it over and over
This has never happened to me before but it’s a teaming tactic.
It’s happened to me many times before, but i don’t see why there would need to be a short or long-term ban. People make mistakes, some intentionally do it, but it lasts 2 seconds and you can easily requeue. (i’m level 177)

Hmmm.. maybe 30 minutes, but also I think it should be if they do it like 3 times in a span of a day.

Likely reason for this happening is either a ping difference, them trying to guess who is the murderer, or they cannot see if you have a bow in your hand. If im being honest a ban for an accident is just a bit harsh. Unless this is intentional to grief other players then, sure the ban would sound reasonable, but that rarely happens.

Perhaps you don’t die if you were shot whilst holding your bow?
If you weren’t, yeah its probably a mistake and you’re dying too.
This would make ppl quit mm and it will be just as dead as GW
