Overflow levels would just be normal levels above the normal level cap of whatever game you’re playing.
So say you’re playing a game like Block Drop that has a level cap of 25, you could grind to as high of a level as you want and have it displayed over your head. It just wouldn’t come with any of the cosmetic unlocks that usually come with a level up.
These overflow levels would not count towards your normal level progression if new levels get added, and you wouldn’t gain any progress on your overflow levels until your normal level is maxed out. In Block Drop’s case, overflow levels could be displayed like this: 100(25). The position of these levels could be switched if new levels release until you’re back at max level.
Welcome to Hive forums!!
This is not a necessary addition, and I really don’t see any point of this being added, since it doesn’t affect anything at all. It would make more sense if Hive just removed the level cap.

Have a great day!
Somebody else made this same post and a Hive Staff said it was impossible or something.
Welcome to the forums! In my opinion, this would be kinda cool to infinitely grind but since it means nothing and would just reset if the levels go up, I don’t really see a point in adding this when there’s other things that do need to be added

What about prestiges?
anyway, welcome to da forums, and have a good day
Maybe make overflow levels 5x harder to get, and make them stay with you. So if I gained 5000 XP, if that was after max it would only be converted to 1000 XP.
5o = 1r
O = overflow xp
R = regular xp
There is definitely a way to do this. I don’t believe that it’s impossible; it’s really not complicated. Or they could just remove experience caps.
Removing an XP cap would mean they needed to add new cosmetics
Removing the experience cap does not necessarily have to do with cosmetics in any way. If experience was infinite that would be a cool way to flex on your friends who would otherwise have been equal with you in level.
The cosmetics don’t matter to me. If they did add more cosmetics they could just have them automatically awarded to anyone with a high enough level. To clarify my wording, if they added a new skywars hub title unlocked at level 110, but there are already people who are level 200 or more, those people could just receive the hub title immediately. Cosmetics isn’t an issue.
The point of the post was extra fake levels that would let you go above the max level, and they would provide NO COSMETIC UNLOCKS, OR HELP LEVEL PROGRESSION. Proof Below:
IMO that would you can’t “max” a game so no.
Yeah, I think if there were no level cap, players wouldn’t get any sense of achievement for maxing a game and therefore people might lose motivation to play.

That’s just not true. To the contrary, once a game is maxed, a lot of the time people will just stop playing, because there are no longer any unlock-able levels,
Max level is still max level. There aren’t any more cosemetics to gain and the extra levels wouldn’t count towards your total level on hivetools so level grinders don’t have to feel obligated to grind block party to level 100.
There’s no point then, if you want to grind then wait for more levels.
There is absolutely a point. If you want to show off your experience, you don’t want it being wasted on playing while already maxed.

Dude chill, Also playing when you are maxxed in not a waste, it’s fun.
I personally agree with you. First of all, statistics like FKDr and WLr are more important than level. Second, I do find the game is extremely fun even without said statistics. However I speak on behalf of people who are very much driven by level, and I do know there are many.

There’s totally a point. If you enjoy playing a game a lot you should be able to show that you play it a lot. If everyone is level 30 you can’t really tell how good everyone is. Also most games rarely get level updates because of cosmetics.
But Level does NOT equal skill.
