Once in a lifetime opportunity

I’m broke :sob: . Ok Im so happy and devastated that the chicken jockey bundle. But what is you could get one item and ONE ITEM ONLY that you could you get using quest points one Hive shop item would cost 3500quest points but you can only get one thing.
Anything above $5.99 would be 2500 quest points
$9.99 gifts would be 3500 points.

Have a good day.

Homie, this needs to be reworded; I can’t really understand what you’re saying.

If I understand correctly: You want the ability to buy anything from the Hive Store for quest points, but only once ever?

You can get one item and one item only from the quest master like costumes which cost $3.99 but also 1500 quest points. But with this you only get one item only.
$3.99+ would be 2000 qp $6.99 and above would be 3000 qp.

I really don’t see why there needs to be ways to not pay. Even though all the gameplay on the Hive is free, they still need money to run stuff and for that reason all the cosmetics and extra stuff costs the big (not big) bucks. I don’t think they will ever add a way to “cheat” themselves out of money.

Hive I think has a lot of money already 1 item from one player each would not make Hive go bankrupt.

To the contrary, giving away free items or items with marked down prices is an affective marketing strategy, which draws players to look through the cosmetics and end up seeing more than just the one item. So in the end giving away a cheap item leads to the players finding interest in other items and spending money on those. This is a marketing strategy other real businesses use. Sales draw attention. Attention draws money.

I hadn’t thought of it this way. But I still think that quest points aren’t the best way to do this. Quests are not super well known when it comes to new players, and the quest point system can be very confusing. If the Hive were to do a cosmetic sale or giveaway then it would be much more affective.

New players wouldn’t know of cosmetics either, unless they have experience from other servers. Even if they did know about cosmetics, they wouldn’t be alert enough to notice or care about any sales or giveaways.
