Murder Mystery is getting an update soon, so I think this would be about right.
Newer maps like Nectar Lake and Backrooms have a lot of advanced things that I think are very interesting, but some of the old maps like Office and Resort have pretty basic powerups. Backrooms, Castle Town, and Nectar Lake let the murderer do something that’ll make it more easy for the murder to get kills and Castle Town even has an armory room for the Innocents, while Office is more basic gameplay where you get coins, get the zapper, and just try to find the murderer with no specific interesting gimmicks (other than the coffee machine but cmon thats only 1 thing).
My suggestion is to add some more interesting interactables for the old maps, like giving the ability to poison the vent’s air in Office or giving the murderer a colorful landmine in Pigment. This should make every map more fun and make it less dissapointing when there’s a good map that didn’t get picked and you’re the murderer on a map you don’t have great taste for (i swear i always vote nectar lake).
oh also the murderer can always get caught by getting everyone to hold out their bow, could they get like a bow after stealing it from a corpse of a person wielding one that wasnt used yet

I think we should have a revamped version of older maps, but leave a few of the older maps in as options as well. I don’t think we should just get rid of older maps, as I personally still enjoy them.
If it comes to it, we should at least leave old maps in custom servers as “legacy maps”

Perhaps on Eso Hotel, you could, idk, flood the pool? Maybe a bit too similar to Castle Town tho

Anything but that. Free zappers ruin the game. I’m fine with updating old maps, but I want to have balanced maps.

I would be okay with some minimal additions to old maps. The older maps like office are cool IMO, and are balanced enough (except castle town) that I enjoy them.
I agree Office and Eso Hotel are pretty bland. I think that poisoning the vents is a bit much. Castle town gives the innocents time to escape the water trap, I like that feature. Office is pretty balanced and I feel you would have to add some stuff in the innocent’s favor before adding something like this, especially in a place the murderer can already easily take out loads of people.
I am definitely a solid no for a fake bow, however. This ruins most of the innocent strategy and how good players find the murderer when they are one of the pacifist murderers. This would be overpowered for the murderer.
i agree, especially for maps that only give innocents extra stuff like pigment. Office is really small and eso hotel there’s a lot of places where u can see pretty much everything from, so the murderers at a big disadvantage on those.
