No Health Indicators in Bedwars

I don’t think automatic health indication should be a part of the new Bedwars game. Health indication removes the ability for players to bluff with how much health they have. I know I’ve won a lot of fights by just continuing the fight at low health, causing people to run away. What I feel automatic health indication will do gameplay wise is just encourage targeting and make people run more. Plus you can already tell someone’s health if you use a bow. I also personally think that health indication look less clean in people’s names.

Not sure if you read the article carefully but the health indicator is only shown when you are in combat with the player

A valid complaint.

bows for health is fine, idk why we’d need anything else. However they did a poll and it said that 75% of people would want health indicators in some way so maybe im just crazy. I’d much prefer no health indicators so there’s always the chance someone doesn’t know how low u are and runs away after a bit of fighting without them but with them there’s none of that.

I voted yes on that poll, but now that I’m a bit more experienced I think it’s a bad idea. That’s the problem with surveying people fresh off of Cubecraft lol

Any level 5 or higher got to vote :frowning:
So that 75% is filled with people who don’t actually play it!!

I know that but like I said you can’t bluff your health once you are in combat which can lead to a lot of chasing situations

We definitely need a new poll when Bed Wars gets released saying if we like it or not.
I just assume people won’t be happy with it tbh

Bumping
Im only down for seeing your teammates health, anything else is too much

How would a bow help telling someones health???

If you shoot someone with a bow it shows you their health in chat.

you just kill them and then it says they had 7 hearts or am i thinking of skywars, idk since i dont really play the pvp games as much as some of the other ones

Bump, please don’t add health indicators Hive

Only show teammates health and do ctf damage particles instead of straight up showing their health.

Edit: please please please :pray::pray: health indicators are awful

Health indicators in Bedwars would definitley not be good. It’s like giving a hack to the entire playerbase (If you’re wondering, showhealth is a hack). You can still use bows to view health anyway. Voted!

How can you use bows to do that? Oh and the show health would reveal sneak attacking players

When you shoot an arrow (in any game), a message in chat will appear saying, “[Player] has 6.5 hearts.”
This message is only visible to you.

In SG and SW, if you shoot a player too close, it will appear as “You are too close to the player” and not indicate the health.

Im paraphrasing the quotations but it gives the idea.

Oh i thought that only appeared when you were killed like in sw but i do recall this happening when playing The Bridge

Now that I have some experience with health indicators in the game, I still hate it. The game seems to cradle to new players a bit too much with camping, a slow start, and seeing health. I’m fine with the camping and a slow start, but not being able to bluff health should be changed. Care to the sweats a bit, please Hive  You may keep the slow start and base camping the same to continue caring for new players, but at least get rid of combat health indicators.

Teammates health is great and should be added to every game, it’s such a good feature to be able to help your random teammates. There’s a lot more perks to it, but that’s the overall perk of it. It also doesn’t have any downsides :person_shrugging:

Nah the health indicators are fine and a lot of fun.

the problem is that about half of hives playerbase is casuals, and most of those hate sweats. thats a pretty good portion of the playerbase hating another pretty good portion of the playerbase. the sweats probably wont get much attention bc of that
you beat me up one time the other day on bw so its kinda tempting to learn the ways of a sweat I mean I cant deny that yall are kinda cracked
