An SG Level update is right around the corner, so why not add a new map too?
Winter Wonderland was a Java exclusive christmas map built by @kwirkyy
It's a beautiful snowy map with a bunch of great locations like:
● Candy Square
● Peppermint Forest
● Elf Town
● Train Station
● Spawn
● Igloo Village
● Snowflake Plaza
● Snow City
● Ice Palace
This was originally a Java SG Map but as implied “was”, Instead of adding this map to SG on Bedrock it was sold on the marketplace and still is if you’d like to go play it! (The Grumpus Tale)
The map could be added to SG as a Winter exclusive as it’s already walled off by mountains and barrier blocks, and just needs Chest added back along with a few Jump pads, and Cache Cow spawn points!
New features/updates to the map:
● Cache Cows will be replaced to Snowmen
● Jump pads will have a new Ice style as if there frozen!
● Supply creates/drops can be replaced to a big Present which is dropped from a Sleigh animation flying over and the Parachute gets changed to a festive one that has candy cane / grumpus decoration on it like wrapping paper or similar.
● Teleporters can receive a new christmas skin.
● Snow piles can be added around the map to collect snowballs from! (16 Max)
Why wouldn't Hive add this map?
There should be no problems with adding this map, @kwirkyy built this map on Java, and is still part of the Build Team to this day, so Hive owns the map.
It’s being sold in the marketplace since Christmas 2019 and I don’t see an issue with including it on the main server since you already get a Costume for buying the map:
No custom blocks/outdated design, This map is already perfect as is, the most it could use is a few custom blocks here and there like Milk & Cookies, Christmas Toys, Tables, etc and the design/layout of this map doesn’t need changing.
I love would to hear everyone’s feedback on this suggestion and tell me what you think should be changed/added to this idea and hopefully we see Hive add this sometime soon!
