New texture of LEAP

Idea - just change the old leap (feather :feather:) to a leap same as block drop.

I don’t mind the current texture as I can change it through my own texture packs :​D

However, if a new leap texture were to be added, I would definitely say a new texture would need to be added. I don’t want another rainbow leaf which is obviously copy and pasted from BlockDrop. It should be unique to DeathRun in some way or just something other than BlockDrop’s

Personally I disagree with replacing it with the block drop texture, as the leap is different from block drops vault(i believe) as @AyaanThe0nee said, I think it would be cool with a deathrun exclusive texture.

I would say if there were to be a unique texture, it would have to be different from Block Drop and Block Party’s Leaps, as all 3 function differently. The differences being:

  • Death Runs Leap is a horizontal leap, no matter how high you face up, the vertical height it lifts the player remains unchanged

  • Block Drops Vault (The Official Name of the Leap) is rather the opposite of DRs Leap. Block Drop gives more vertical height(or downdraft if you face down) the farther you are facing vertically, but if you are facing linerally across the leap will only let you dash.

  • In addition there is also Block Party’s Leap, which is different than both as Block Party has a stronger horizontal launch than BD, but wealer than DR, but also enables the player with a slightly weaker leap like the BD Vault.

It’s good to have all 3 look different as New (or Casual) players will not get confused if they see that the leap is acting differently than another gamemode. Personally I’d rather DR’s leap remain a default MC texture as I can have it whatever texture I’d like, but it would need to be different if it needed to be changed to a Hive texture.

I would definitely like a new texture for the leap, maybe a new level up addition for new leap textures each level up with different themes? (Just to throw an idea into here) All in all, completely agree, voted :smiley:
