I had this idea a while ago, and I think it would be fun to add a tag game to Hive. There would be large teams (two, or four), and you would win by tagging all the other players onto your team.

XP would probably be given to the original players on the winning side, or only through kills
an upgrade system similar to ctf
a short timer (4:00-10:00) as it would be quite easy for the game to drag on
unfortunately the only way i can think of fixing this is with a zombie system, but as someone else stated above that has already be suggested. But maybe you have a better idea, tell me!
I like the zombie system, where you have 1 (or 2) tagger(s) start out and they have to tag everyone else, and when you get tagged u have to tag others. It’s a similar system to hide and seek.
I think xp should be given to runners for every minute that passes, for every runner that gets tagged while they’re still alive, and a large amount of xp if they’re still alive at the end. Taggers should get xp for tagging people and for winning the game.
Games should last 5 minutes and there should be 24 players with map sizes similar to harvest from hide and seek. Taggers should be able to see the nametags of runners even when they’re crouching, and runners should be able to see taggers’ nametags even while they’re crouching.
I like the idea of powerups scattered throughout the map that both runners and taggers can pick up (like jump boost, invis, armor (saves u from 1 tag), etc (no speed tho, thatd be annoying). Powerups would give a tiny amount of xp when grabbed.
Teleporters and launchpads should be scattered throughout the map to allow for people to escape being cut off, and jump boost pads like what dr has should be present to allow for both falling and jumping to make buildings not op. Obviously fall damage should be off.
