Hide and Seek is starting to get kinda repetitive, especially since it hasn’t recieved an update for a VERY long time. My idea is to add an entirely new mode for Hide and Seek known as Chaos mode! This mode includes features such as power-ups, more seekers at the start of the game, and hiders gettting an upgradable seeker blaster from the start of the game. Everything else stays the same. But how does it function compared to normal Hide and Seek? Well, let’s break it down…
Power-ups
These are items that will randomly spawn throughout the map. If you walk into a lightning bolt, you will get a random power-up. However, you can’t have multiple power-ups at once. If you walk into a lightning bolt with a power-up already given to you, you will get nothing. Power-ups for hiders include 3-time use punch bows, smoke boomboxes, normal boomboxes, leap feathers, and bottles of invisibility (lasts for 5 seconds). To balance these items out, after use, the hider who uses them will get inflicted with slowness for 3 seconds. Now, what does each power-up do? Punch bows are pretty self-explanatory. You just shoot seekers with them. Smoke boomboxes are non-throwable boomboxes that blind seekers within a 3 block radius upon detonation. Standard boomboxes are the standard throwable boomboxes you see in SkyWars. Again, pretty self-explanatory. The leap feather functions similarly to the leap feather in Death Run. However, it doesn’t launch you as far. Bottles of invisibility gives you invisibility for 5 seconds. However, Seekers can still see your held items. These power-ups function as items you can use to get away from Seekers. However, Seekers can pick them up too. They get different power-ups. Seekers can get Bottles of Speed (5 seconds), Hider Trackers, and 3-time use Hider Zappers. Unlike the Hider power-ups, these don’t come with the slowness debuff. Bottles of Speed give you speed for 5 seconds, Hider Trackers once used track a random Hider down by having particles spawn above them for 5 seconds, and Hider Zappers simply zap the Hider you are aiming at when you use it. There power-ups are meant to incentify taking risks and making the game more fast-paced.
Upgradable Seeker Blaster
Killing Seekers now brings a new benefit! Everytime you kill a Seeker, your Seeker Blaster gets a level or sharpness going up to level 2. After that, your Seeker Blaster can’t be upgraded again. However, your Seeker Blaster will be damaged everytime you hit a Seeker. So, use your Seeker Blaster wisely. You may be able to upgrade it in this mode, but it comes with some draw-backs. After 30 hits, your Seeker Blaster will break. You will have to hide for at least 30 seconds to get a fresh new one. This will also make this mode more fast-paced and incentify taking risks, making games go much faster.
More Seekers, more trouble
Instead of just one Seeker being chosen at the start of the game, 3 Seekers are chosen, leaving 13 Hiders. As a result, hiding is going to be more nerve-racking. However, Seeker energy now runs out twice as fast as it does in normal Hide and Seek, which means that Seekers need to be careful on how much they swing their swords. This again will add more spice to the mode, making Hide and Seek more fast-paced and less repetitive.
Summary
I feel that this mode might draw in more players to playing Hide and Seek due to there being a plethera of new playstyles being introduced. Alongside that, it gives Hide and Seek a nice new twist to make it feel fresh. If you want this mode to be added, be sure to vote!
