New Kit Suggestion: The Sorcerer Kit

Nov 4 - Idea: Sorcerer Kit

The Sorcerer Kit will be a new kit for the kit version of SkyWars. If a player selects this kit, they will receive some potions and a bow with 5 arrows to begin with.

They would receive 5 potions (all of them splash potions) in total, namely:

1x Instant Health II Potion
1x Jump Boost III Potion
1x Slowness II Potion
1x Speed III Potion
1x Instant Damage II Potion

This should also work in SkyWars Kits Duos, and for the bow, it would have Power I enchantment, and the five arrows provided in the kit are Poison I arrows. Also, if two people in Duos are on the same team, and both select Sorcerer Kit, the damage of the potions (for the negative potions only) will increase by 2x. This would be helpful if the two of you have no weapons and/or ran out of arrows or snowballs and have no choice but to throw them into the face of a sword/axe player.

Probably powerful enough to be its own kit.

Overall this kits seems very op. This kit does not need a bow and arrows, doesn’t make sense anyways. Jump potion 3 and speed 3 are very strong on their effects, 2 or 1 would be fine.

This seems like a very amazing idea, but could have a lot of problems. Like if you were playing by yourself in duos to try to find a friend, it would be very hard to pick the same kit with the random teammate. Lots of players do play duos by themselves to find friends, but with this it could turn a lot of players away from duos. Especially if the kit is as strong as this with its, what I’m going to call it, swarm boost. Four instant damage II splash potions would be an instant kill! Thats too powerful, I do love the idea of swarm type kits which makes you pick the same kit for it to be stronger.

Well I’ll nerf it when two ppl in the same team will deal 2x damage to their enemies if they both select Sorcerer Kit. I will nerf it from 2x to just 1.5x. I hope that’s fair for everyone.

And for the bow, I will remove the enchantments and decrease the number of arrows to 3 arrows, but they will still be Poison I arrows. But if y’all want the bow and arrows to be removed, your wish is my command.

I like the creativity with this idea; however, I think some things in this kit seem unbalanced (in an OP way). I like what you’re going for with this sorcerer kit by giving the kit potions to get that feeling of magic that a sorcerer would possess, but I don’t think it would be practical to use splash potions.

Suggestions For Potions
For the instant health potion, the healing spellbook already exists and same with the speed potion (spellbook of swiftness) so perhaps the kit would provide the player with these items instead. The instant damage potion seems a little OP to me because potions ignore armor & directly affects health. It’s similar to how fire works (though fire works a little bit differently) so perhaps instead of an instant damage potion, a spellbook of fire trail might suffice. Personally, the jump boost seems unneeded & sounds extremely situational for it to be effective. As for the slowness potion that you’ve proposed, it’s essentially a frozen boombox so that could probably be used instead. Potions cannot be thrown very far & the boombox can be thrown a lot further.

Suggestions For Bow
I don’t think there’s a reason to have Power I on a bow as this kit already offers lots of other utilities. I like the creativity with poison arrows. Again, it makes it feel like you really are a sorcerer who has used magic to make your arrows deadlier, but poison arrows sounds unbalanced. Once again, it’s similar to how fire works where it penetrates armor and if you like the fire trail book replacement idea, this item would already be able to do that. Additionally, poison boomboxes can already serve as a way to poison a player.

Lastly, I don’t think any effects of this kit should be amplified if your teammate is also using it. There’s a variety of ways to already deal damage through this kit so a damage multiplier doesn’t seem needed.

Probably you’re a bit right. To be fair with everyone, I will replace the potions with a frozen boombox and spellbooks. And NO damage multiplier with a teammate with the same kit. Also your other ideas shall be added too. Thanks @vipersniper68 for improving this suggestion! (i hope this helps)
